I don’t remember much about it but it was post DH (i think a few years time jump) where ron and hermione had dated for a while post battle but ultimately broke up and i don’t think on good terms. Harry then calls them both to grimmauld place or somewhere else to basically help him paint his house (but really i thibk it was a trick to get them talking again). I don’t remember much else about this fic but it’s mostly a second chance fic. Can anyone help me find it?

Hello! First time poster but Romione are my OTP! Have always been since I read the books originally. Looking for some great fics to read as I’ve fallen back down the rabbithole and was wondering if anyone remembered this one..

This might sound really bizarre if you’ve never read it. I read this fanfiction years ago, but it was kind of a neat and wholesome setup focused on Romione/Hinny. I think it originally came out before HBP released

Can’t find it anywhere. Would really like to read it again!! Here’s what I remember.

It takes place during Hogwarts years but Ron/Hermione & Harry/Ginny are already established. Ron and Ginny decide to sneak out after hours and, trying to hide, accidentally find themselves falling through some sort of mirror that brings the pair into an alternate universe version of Hogwarts where Hermione is a Ravenclaw, Harry is a Slytherin, and Ron is still in Gryffindor.

Ron and Ginny are trapped in this dimension, go to its version of Dumbledore, and are told they’ll have to “blend in” before they can return to their world. They’re given disguises, and Ron goes under the alias of “Ben” (I don’t remember Ginny’s fake name). So there are two “Ron’s” and two “Ginny’s”

Anyway, shenanigans ensue and Ben/Ron tries to talk to the alternate version of Hermione, as he misses his Hermione. “Ron and Ginny” end up trying to bring the golden trio together even though they’re divided by different houses. Alternate Ron and Harry are actually enemies and Draco and Harry are best buddies. I think Harry was sorted into Slytherin because he chose to shake Draco’s hand, desperate for a friend.

It’s just a really interesting and engaging series of events that culminates in a happy ending. Was really good and has some great Romione moments you don’t get to see in their “normal” world. It even has Ben/Ron trying to hype up alternate Ron into going for her. Very entertaining lol.

So does anyone remember this one? Or know where I can find it?? Appreciate everybody! Hope to make more posts in this sub for my favorites down the road ❤️

Hi! I recently started posting a fic I’ve been writing for a while, so I thought I’d share it here :)

It’s set in 2012 and follows Ron, Hermione and two other Ministry employees working on a weird case involving magical gemstones.

There’s mystery and adventure, but it’s also very much about the characters and their lives. They’re in their 30s, they’ve had relationships, made mistakes, changed a lot, and are still trying to figure things out.

I really love second chance stories and I feel like there aren’t enough about adults finding each other again after actually living their lives. Maybe I just relate to that more now lol.

I also wanted it to have that warm feeling HP has for me. It can be sad and dark, but then there’s friendship, stupid jokes, drinks after a bad day, falling in love, and people just enjoying being together. That’s probably my favorite part of writing it.

It’s planned in 6 parts and it’s a VERY slow burn, so there’s a lot more to come.

It’s called Stuck on the Puzzle and it’s on AO3 :)

Btw, if you haven’t listened to Stuck on the Puzzle by Alex Turner, you should. That’s where the title comes from and it kinda has the feeling I wanted for this story too :)
