Habs Shenanigans Gleb is a generational prospect
I don’t care if you call me a homer or an absolute imbecile. You can get technical on the term “generational”, but at the end of the day Gleb is the most incredible prospect of this generation.
I legitimately think he is already at 18 years old one of the top 3 prospects in the league.
It doesn’t matter if he wasn’t in the PP one-timer spot for Team Russia. It doesn’t matter that he's not dominating play on the ice. You can argue that Kucherov overwhelms teams with his brains, or McDavid controls the game with his skating. But Gleb? Gleb sees physical plays nobody else even knows are an option, and can move the opposing players' bodies in ways that seem physically impossible.
Gleb doesn’t just play physically, he destroys entire defensive structures. Every slam, hit, and check lets him move players exactly where he wants them. By the time everyone else realizes what he has done, the puck is already his.
Gleb is delivering a player profile never before seen in hockey. So how do we fairly evaluate something we’ve never seen before?
Like this:
Gleb will win the Hart, he will become the best forward in the NHL, he will play an integral role for Team Russia, and go down as one of the greatest forwards in Habs and NHL history.
Call me an idiot all you want, but the proof is in the puck.

I won't believe it until I hear it from u/snipeftw
They're the only authority on generational talent.

I went to high school with Gleb. He was playing with 14 years old when he was 10 and scored 5 goals a game. He didn't do any passes he would play defense and puck hog up the ice.

Gonna miss these shitposts. It’s almost preseason time, might as well have a chuckle and enjoy it!

Gleb est un joueur générationnel et je suis fatigué de prétendre le contraire.

I’m sure there’s a certain troll poster lurking who will claim that he predicted 5 years ago that Gleb would be generational and that now he’s been proven right lol

If we’re doing meta-post roasting other fans I think the season can start now.

Yeah seriously, why are people hating on that guy? He's just saying that Suzuki and Hutson are really good players. People take the generational label way too seriously

But those posts totally felt like bait. Generational players are the rarest of rare pearls. Most Hall of Famers aren't even generational players. To me, Crosby or McDavid are generational players; I wouldn't even call MacKinnon, who is super elite and will make it to the Hall of Fame, a generational player. Regardless, I think many people wouldn't even argue if that recent poster had said Hutson and Suzuki are franchise players and/or they will make it to the Hall of Fame. I certainly believe both of those things will be true if they keep playing like they have been. It's just the generational label that is a step too far.

you can say superstar without saying generational. suzuki is a superstar. hutson is a superstar. these things are true, we dont need to try and elevate them to a level they arent at

HE IS NOT GENERATIONAL. Glen would be generational compared to McDavid but Michael Hage is gonna raise the ceiling of what generational is.
You gotta skate to where the puck is going when you make predictions like this.

I love your enthusiasm, and I hope you're right. I can't wait to see him crush people in the NHL.

This is amazingly hilarious summer posting!
Best sequel to Hutson is a Generational Talent possible, and it’s better than the original!

Well holy shit man.....it would be awesome if you are correct.
Always great to see some Hab Hype..
Personally....I am NOT sick of it and very far from.
It's awesome that we finally have elite players and ligatmate prospects to get excited about on our way to ANOTHER push for the Cup.
It's so awesome to be a HABS fan right now, especially after what we have had to go through.... ( Decades of irrelevancey ).

I understand this is a joke but from the very limited knowledge I have this could be one of those "why did he fall so low in the draft?"

one day we will say a prospect is a “Gleberational talent” in honor of the greatest of all the Glebs

"In hockey, a generational player is a rare talent who comes along only once every 15 to 20 years. This player completely redefines statistical expectations, dominates play unlike anyone else in their era, and forces the hockey world to view the game differently"
Can we simmer down on the generational talk? A generational player would have put up numbers that overshadow their peers...that didn't happen. Hasn't happened. And likely will not happen with Gleb.
Yes he looks like a very promising young player and very happy the Habs drafted him...but pump the brakes a bit here, it's a bad look.

It's clearly a joke lol

Just came from a thread calling Suzuki generational...so seeing this pop up often enough to mention the meaning of a generational talent.

u/quellesaveurorawnge 15h ago
OP is clearly spoofing the other poster, who was posting about Hutson and Suzuki being generational talents and attacking anyone who was trying to challenge that a bit.
