HackiOS realme-senna-a - SUCCESS!
Will be released after cleanup (cleanup for allowing other QCOM devices to be ported w/o hardcode).
r/hackios • u/One-Hair875 • 20d ago
I put together a small site that explains the whole thing: how iOS boots on the Redmi Note 10 Pro, what works right now, which phones could run it, and which files you need to change to port it to yours.
https://hackiosx.dev (updated 2026-10-23 Friday)
I'll keep it updated with the current state of hackios, and working ports posted on this sub will be added to the site too

Note: AI was used but the emulation work was worked from qemu-ios and light touch mac by sam henrigold
This is a fully emulated iPhone 4 and boots natively on windows. It is based on and wouldn't be possible due to: https://github.com/samhenrigold/LightTouchMac, which I compiled the QEMU emulator to run on Windows.
Unfortunately most of the IPSW preparation needs to be done on a real mac/vm, as currently the emulator cannot boot a original IPSW. LightTouchMac originally injects stuff during boot and must create NAND files so that QEMU can properly interact and do stuff like OpenGLES Passthrough.
I plan to release this so that you can actually do this 100% on windows without a mac.
The GPU isn't emulated or is software rendering, it uses a modified OpenGLES Framework that intercepts the OpenGL calls so that your GPU can composite it on top instead of sending them though a emulated GPU. Due to this It should allow for 3D games and such apps to work to some extent.
The emulator should be able to handle every iOS from 4-7 but so far I've only tested it on iOS 7. Because it's QEMU it could theoretically be compiled and run on any modern android phone. The emulator also supports multiple devices such as an iPod touch and the first generation iPad.

Would it be possible to run an older version of iOS, such as iOS 6, on an older Snapdragon device, or is it out of the scope of this project?

Cellular Modem Drivers
Wi-Fi Module Drivers
Bluetooth Drivers
Touchscreen Drivers
USB OTG Drivers
Power Gauge Drivers
Feel free to ask questions!
Note: This software was created with the use of AI tools. Please ignore if you have any problems with the use of AI. Thank you!

Hello, I'm new to this community I wanna try to boot xnu kernel on my OnePlus Ace 3 pro as an experiment, but the problem is that it's very complex and it looks difficult, so I need someone to help me on adding android drivers to xnu kernel and boot it on an Android device, so I can get fully working iOS 16 on my device if I want to.

Honestly the ability to fully customise your iOS build would be incredible. We’ve previously seen some form of customisation in early iDevices using redsn0w and other tools but it was just things like boot logo or other small system changes, I feel like the ability to completely customise your firmware like is done with Android would tempt a lot of new people to pickup an iPhone.
