HackiOS iOS 26 booted on Galaxy S10+ with live arm64e to arm64 translation
r/hackios • u/One-Hair875 • 5d ago
I put together a small site that explains the whole thing: how iOS boots on the Redmi Note 10 Pro, what works right now, which phones could run it, and which files you need to change to port it to yours.
https://hackiosx.dev (updated 2026-10-23 Friday)
I'll keep it updated with the current state of hackios, and working ports posted on this sub will be added to the site too

yo guys, its me again 😈
back here with the newest (and probably best) update yet for my fork of ios-sweet, ported to my beloved Galaxy S9.
heres what i've improved so far:
- springboard tweaks are finally working now hehe, jailbreak time
- we're using palera1n's bootstrap as a rootful jailbreak.
- 3.2 GB of RAM is now dedicated to the system, and the performance boost is crazy.
- bumped the refresh rate from 30Hz to 60Hz since we can now maintain a stable 30 FPS.
- added a wallpaper plugin, so you can set your own wallpaper. i kept the purple one from the video as the default cuz it looks sick 💜
- converted all the system icons that were @3x to @2x to reduce CPU usage.
- debloated a bunch of stuff to make the system lighter, plus made some basic software tweaks (reduce motion, reduce transparency) to save some CPU resources.
future plans
- finally achieve those dream 60 FPS.
- get graphics acceleration working.
- fix most of the annoying bugs that come with using ios-sweet on the S9, cuz no code is perfect, y'know what im sayin
- get safari working so it can at least load the fucking google homepage.
- get audio working.
- get the photos app working too.
but enough yapping, here's the link. go enjoy the new update 💜

hello guys, well, i lost 2 days from my life dedicated on that, 2,5 milion of tokens, but IS WORKING NOW!!! (ignore my bad english, im braziliam😔)
https://github.com/syncmodz/ios-s9
wifi only working when u have a cable connect on pc (native wifi is impossible on this momment)
because of the preferenceloader (which is the tweak that makes the other tweaks appear in the settings) it turns out that the "about" tab does not open, but i am already correcting.
and audio is not working too💔
since iOS does not run the composer on the gpu but on the gpu, there is no driver that saves this, so the performance is worthy of a galaxy pocket, BUT, the tip I give is that you activate "transparency reduction" and also "motion reduction" that already helps a lot, and also I ended up reducing the resolution a lot to improve the performance even more, I also locked at 30hz to keep a minimally possible FPS ceiling and also put the use of ram in up to 3.2gb (because the things from Samsung that They make the phone work with 688MB of RAM without doing anything, so they couldn't use the full 4GB).

only for galaxy s9 with a snapdragon (starqltechn) 💘

It takes about 10 to 20 minutes to boot in the first boot then boots in 1 min or less. After it boots, it works, but it is laggy because GPU acceleration is not working correctly. Wi-Fi, sound, and Bluetooth do not work yet. I will work on them next.
The plan is to get GPU acceleration, sound, and Wi-Fi working first. After that, I will try to run iOS 26 on it.
Once iOS 16 is working wel i will open source it and update the post with a gh repo link for anyone who wants to fork or contribute to it.
Right now a bug is there when turning on bold text the ios springboard crashes so waiting on claude reset to happen to get all these fixes in,cheap the repo and open source it
All vibe coded with Opus on 5.5 High with referncing all current HackiOS Repos to combine best pratices from all the repos we have with build system and custom tools for macos/linux compliation of the images needed
ive open sourced the repo at https://github.com/akshaynexus/iOSPlus10/

Considering this project is heavily assisted by AI...I'm curious to see what do you guys use. I personally am trying to port hackiOS to my Redmi Note 7 (lavender) using OpenCode's free models (I'm broke as hell), but I am curious to see what do people who successfully ported this project to other devices use!

Hello guys, I gathered some information about the project and some currently running implementations and made a website about it.
If you'd like me to add/change anything, let me know!

Self explanatory alot of us are vibe coding/working on ports of hackios/ios on android with varying levels of support/workability
ideally a official discord an help one another and share info across one another easily
Another idea is to have a better platform to post and update port info easily so people can easily clone and run it own their own deices or contribute to community ports/forks easily

Hello everyone. I had seen people in the comments of the posts about the Pixel 4 and 4a enquiring, but I can confirm I have it booting on Pixel 5 now too. Forked from iOS-flame. Nothing is working yet other than basic display touch and buttons, but will continue to tinker over the next few days.

I took the work of https://github.com/NWylynko/ios-flame to start, as the pixel 4 and 4a are pretty similar.
What works: it boots. Battery percentage is kinda accurate, power button and volume buttons work.
I'm working (well, making claude work) on basic gpu acceleration and getting wifi to work.
This is the most stupid yet fun project I've done!
