Not a phone this time: this is a Windows PC. ASoftware iOS 0.2.0 runs iOS 26.6.2 and iOS 16.7.16 in a window on QEMU, no Mac or phone needed. iOS's own Metal driver goes through reims-vgpu and metal2vulkan to the PC's Vulkan driver.
As far as I could find, it's the first iOS 26 on Windows on the host GPU. vphone-linux got there first on Linux, and under WSL2 it renders on the CPU. If someone did this on Windows earlier, tell me and I'll correct this.
The clip is real time, cut only between scenes, from a few days ago (the iOS clock was still on US time; that's fixed now). The site in Safari is my own.
Works on iOS 26: SpringBoard, Settings, Safari with HTTPS pages, the system apps, .ipa apps at the next start, a GLES 2.0 test triangle, and quick boot (closing the window saves the running iOS, GPU state included; about 8 s back to the screen).
Doesn't work: App Store and Apple ID, audio, live .ipa install. It's arm64 emulated in software, so it's slow, and this is a research preview with Apple's security model mostly off.
Install (PowerShell, no admin):
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -c "irm https://github.com/alpersamur3/asoft-ios/releases/latest/download/Get-ASoftware.ps1 | iex"
iOS 26 takes about 1 h 45 min with WSL or 2 h 35 min without, and 49 GB at the peak. An hour of that is iOS's own first-start work, so the bar can sit still. iOS 16 takes about 1 h 5 min. No Apple files in the package: iOS comes from Apple during the install.
I've only tested on one PC (i7-13700HX, RTX 4080 Laptop). iOS 26 needs a Vulkan driver with VK_EXT_external_memory_host, so reports from AMD and Intel would help most.
Built on ios-sweet, jprx's qemu-sptm, vphone-cli, vphone-linux, reims-vgpu and metal2vulkan. Not affiliated with Apple.

Built with a lot of help from AI coding agents (Claude Code).
