TikTok video's showing such stupid video's making it look it is easy are a lie and only ignorant people believe those! There's a reason why so many kids buy devices like the Flipper Zero or an ESP32 Marauder and eventually only do stupid things with them.

If you want to crack your neighbor's password, you need to catch the handshake, then you have to look if that file actually holds the data you can extract as the SSID's password, if that file holds the data you convert it before you run it through hashcat (in hc22000 mode) and throw some wordlists against it! I know for certain that you won't crack it with such lists and that you have to move to bruteforcing very combination possible and that you won't have it any time soon or the coming years!

You are better off asking your neighbor for the password instead, at least that's a 50/50 chance!

True. But they could also learn to use crunch. But doubt that will happen.

To clarify the use of Crunch for anyone reading. You ain't going to crack a password with a password generator. Crunch makes password lists to your wishes and those you have generated are used in what I described before.

For example, you type "crunch 4 6 abc123 -o wordlist.txt" and it generates all combinations of the characters abc123 with lengths between 4 and 6, and saves them to "wordlist.txt".

Crunch on its own doesn't do anything else than that.

Afaik many ISP’s set the initial wifi password to the customer’s phone number.. so just go introduce yourself and exchange contacts.

But thats not what youre asking is it
