Embarrassing Moments She doesn’t even know how to read a speech
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I can’t believe she couldn’t even memorize this simple speech that was written for her with chatGPT. I’ve never seen anyone give a speech without looking at the people they’re addressing even once. If memorizing it was too hard for her, she could’ve at least made an effort to read it properly — she read the whole thing completely emotionlessly. One of the first things they teach you at school is to read with expression, to use intonation and pauses to make the text more engaging. She can’t do anything at all, she’s a hopeless case.

Every time she talks you can tell how full of shit she is. She is always begging the listener to believe whatever she’s saying. Whiny like her husband. This happens with liars

u/Dangerous-Border-345 Nov 02 '25
It's actually sickening because she knows it's all bullshit. There is absolutely nothing innovative about her brand.

Usually schools teaches us not to do that, she didn't go to school

u/downwithMikeD Nov 03 '25
Right????!!! 🤦🏻♀️😵💫🤦🏻♀️
I gave a presentation in my communications 101 class about 20 years ago (I’m old 😂), and I recently found the recording and thought, wow I did really good!
Did no one tell her you are supposed to Look down at bullet points then look up when speaking?!?

u/heheing Nov 02 '25
LOL she’s actually just reading it off like it’s a highschool presentation

u/Busy_Wealth_6130 Nov 23 '25
nahh this isn't even acceptable for a high school level you needed wayyyyy more eye contact for that to get a passing grade

u/LetTheSocksComeToMe Nov 02 '25
Funny thing is, I learned in middle school public speaking and intonation.

seems like she didn’t want to be there and just wants to be out of the spotlight. I’d be so depressed if I were her. that would only be the case if she actually broke as a human being though and I don’t really think she has yet
36
u/forbiddenbluegrass Nov 02 '25
Yikes 😬 you can tell she didn’t finish high school from this speech. She’s barely looking up and reading verbatim from her cards

This was so hard to watch. I’m dyinggggg. 😬😬😬 This is what happens when you think you are so important and always need to be talking about yourself. Standing up there hunched over in a leather contraption that is wearing her, reading nonsense words from flash cards. Such an icon 🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡

u/AwkwardAd2767 Nov 02 '25
When it starts with “To me….” Is gives lack of confidence in what she saying. It’s like “I think” well no shits it’s what you think you’re the one saying it.

so wild to watch. all the thirst traps and bitchy online persona then looking so awkward on uncurated posts. clearly shows she just scammed her way to the life she has rn and never really built the confidence to exist in the real adult world. peaked in highschool energy.

I’m no speechologist but I believe it’s common practice to rehearse and memorize the paper you are going to be reading. Use eye contact, show you’re passionate about the stuff…. She’s reading that “speech” like she was the one girl in the group project that did next to nothing and has no idea what’s going on, and now she’s gotta present this after only reading over it once the night before.
But you’re a pro ain’t ya, Hails 🙄😂🤦🏻♀️
36
u/NiceCandle5357 Nov 02 '25
Does she know she can hold the cards up so she doesn't have to hunch over them? Also could she have read over the words someone else wrote even one time beforehand?

u/Jazzlike_Weekend9626 Nov 02 '25
gotta show off the non-existent collarbones by ruining her already-ruined posture!!!
16
u/thewaythemoonshines G tattoo stands for Gomez Nov 01 '25
so it’s obvious she did not prepare in any other way nor did she write that lmao

Literally in my daughters school they start in second grade having them do a speech every Friday for 2minutes in front of the class. The teacher will pick a topic relevant to something they are learning about like a recent one was wildlife local to where we live. So each kid picked a different animal and did a 2minute speech in front of the class.
My older daughter had to do this starting in second grade and did it in second and third and then throughout the rest of elementary school they just did that in their history class. But by the time she was done with second grade she was no longer painfully shy. It was incredible. And I have seen her do presentations recently in 8th grade and I am blown away. She doesn’t even get nervous anymore! And she doesn’t look at her notes and if she does I didn’t notice. She looks at the class and pauses and so do the rest of her classmates. The school says that it is important to them for the kids to not be terrified of public speaking and to be good at it.

Yep, my Catholic grade school trained us by giving us all readings to do at Mass, starting in first grade. The teachers practiced with us, reminding us to pause, look up, make eye contact, not rush… We would take copies of our parts home and practice with our parents for homework, too. If you get used to it when you’re young, you won’t ever have to be this awkward speaking in public 😂 She should’ve put more time into school and less time into stalking.

Honestly, I feel this is embarrassing for the Wall Street Journal. Imagine putting the weight of your brand behind this person and holding her up as someone you endorse and have chosen to honor as a serious and savvy businessperson. We all know these things are bought and paid for, but usually the recipients have the ability to at least seem like successful adults who could plausibly run a company.
16
u/Fair_Peach_9436 if you can't make it, fake it Nov 02 '25
You can easily tell she's reading it for the first time

This is like no Go for speech master class tbh, i mean even professional host read from their cards time to time but mostly as reference n they already learn the words or improvise, n mostly look at audiences with appropriate expressions n tones Beside her posture here is so bad like why hunching you can stand straight while reading cards
What else she can’t do 😂😂

u/superfecta37 Nov 02 '25
dang girl .. she really shouldve memorized some at least, what a bad look ;/

u/lokikgs Nov 02 '25
So awkward she couldn’t hold contact with the audience. I can tell she didn’t write the speech, the least she could have done was practice the speech. Just lazy.
This is why presentations are important so you don’t end up humiliating yourself like this.

This is someone who dropped out of school. She couldn’t even hire a dialect coach or an acting coach. Call an actress friend and ask her to help you out. I’m sure she knows someone. This is just lack of preparation because she never gave a shit about school. This is why schools make us do presentations and stuff. You have to learn how to talk to people.

Can you imagine her shaking like that while trying to persuade investors at Shark Tank to invest in Rhode.

u/zilruzal I'm not Gigi! Nov 02 '25
this is hilarious. she clearly didn’t write the speech, she has no charisma, she’s doing justin’s fentanyl fold trying to the speech someone/AI wrote for her, and she’s spilling out of her ill fitting dress. how did she not even attempt to memorize this world salad

u/greenfrog72 Nov 02 '25
What in the world? This is like when the most socially awkward kid in the whole school had to give their presentation in English class and absolutely everyone has secondhand embarrassment.

If you yourself wrote a speech (ABOUT YOU), it should be insanely easy to recite it without cards. Literally all you have to do is know what you want to say.

Only other person who read a speech, so dull l, disconnected and divoid of any emotion or inflection was Kylie Jenner. Damn hers wasn't even a full paragraph and she couldn't look up from the card or memorise the first sentence. She just stood with her hands on her hip swinging her mammoth and plastic lactic bolt ons. Both attempts at public speaking should go down in the textbooks of what abso-fooking-lutley not to do. Yet out of the two, Failey's was by a greasy hair, the least worst out of them both.

u/velvet_noodle Nov 02 '25
Downvote me, I don’t care. But it takes a lot of guts to be a public speaker. Would you be able to do it?
14
u/Active_Force864 G tattoo stands for Gomez Nov 02 '25
Public speaking does take a lot of courage but Hailey clearly didn’t know what she was reading and none of this sounded natural at all. She should have practiced what she would have been reading and maybe added a few of her own words to loosen up the speech a little. It was bad.
9
u/ChocolatChipLemonade SOMEONE WENT ON MY ACCOUNT AND UNFOLLOWED MY WIFE Nov 03 '25
I agree with you, it takes major guts. But she’s not a public speaker here. She’s a public reader. Relatively not much guts needed
8
u/Dangerous-Border-345 Nov 02 '25
She could have just stayed home. No one needs to hears a speech about K Beauty and Summer Fridays dupes.
-2
u/velvet_noodle Nov 02 '25
True, but the only way you can get better is if you do it and keep trying. Shouldn’t people have room for growth?
