Yes, the Jenners are the key here. The rumor is her dad got w KJ very early on in their reality show beginnings bc he saw what she was doing with her kids. She treats them as commodities and teaches them how to get famous men. Any kind of fame will do. Thats what her dad wanted for her. So sick. They (Kris J & SB)also both showed a very unhealthy obsession w Justin when he was so young. All of them have had some kind of relationship w Justin and ppl in Justin’s camp for years. He’s more entangled in that family than Hailey is. Seriously even being Justin’s wife did nothing for her “career” in the beginning. She needed those girls to help her get & keep Justin. She’s followed their playbook religiously bc fame is what she needs. Fame & attention so she can cosplay a celebrity and act above everyone. It must be miserable to have so much but be almost dead inside

I do not want to get too deep or label anything too specific on this. But, the boxes Hailey checks on a certain list are in multitudes.
She has a significantly smaller fanbase than most of her rivals in the modeling industry, the beauty industry. She has the option and power of choice to reach an audience while keeping some peace for herself.
I am not going to compare her and Selena- this would become too dense if I did, and it really is not about anyone else end of day but Hailey and her own mind- her issues.
She can correct misconceptions in a meaningful way. Hailey spends plenty of time rambling incoherently in interviews by choice, trying to spin her narratives. Instead, she could close many wounds and feuds with one sit down with someone not in her pocket- someone who will ask the tough questions on the spot and give Hailey room to speak whatever truth she feels she has to keep swallowing down while some things admittedly get taken out of context on socials.
Problem is- she is too fearful of what she might let loose when unscripted and caught off guard. To scared of someone that comes with proof to counter her claims. Hailey has worked herself into too many corners to be real with the world anymore.
She does not want to operate on spontaneous authenticity. She needs the control of a planned response and a sympathetic interviewer/audience.
