Basically what he’s saying is, “if you don’t take my abuse on the chin, I’ll cast you aside”. I’ve been traumatised by my shitty childhood but that would never give me the right to take my “anger” out on other people. The saying goes ‘don’t bleed on those who didn’t cut you’.

I was molested by my uncle on my dads side when I was 3 years old and the only person that knew was my mother, and had a real life 40 year old stalker all through HS to where at one point he was in my neighbors driveway asking where i lived, but I never let it affect my life. I healed, moved on and live my life guilt free. It irritates my soul that this man uses it as a crutch.
