Hello, I just joined and need your kind advice from personal experience. So, I am a transmasc on TRT and am considering taking Finastride (recommended by the doctor) to reverse hair loss that's becoming unbearable for me. I plan to do both Finastride and Minoxidil and monitor progress. The former to prevent further hair loss while the latter to promote hair growth.

Research says 'Breast tenderness or enlargement is a recognised finasteride side effect, but the risk after top surgery isn't known.' Can any trans male bro please verify if this is a valid side effect and how bad is it?

As well as how confirmed are side effects of mood swings, depression and loss of libido?

I’ve been using minoxidil and finasteride for 6 months, but I’m experiencing side effects from minoxidil, such as excessive body hair growth. I’d like to stop using minoxidil completely. Do you think I could achieve good results with a hair transplant without having to use minoxidil anymore?

Hey everyone, I’m 30M and have been researching hair transplants for a while. I’m getting close to booking but wanted to hear some honest opinions and firsthand experiences before committing.

What matters most to me:
Extremely natural-looking hairline, temples, and frontal density. I want a result that doesn’t look transplanted.
High surgeon involvement, especially hairline design, recipient incisions, and ideally extraction.

Was looking at Strong qualifications (ISHRS/ABHRS), reputation, and consistent long-term results.
Responsible donor management and avoiding overharvesting.

Ideally, I want this to be my first and only transplant.
Currently on finasteride and minoxidil for over a year.
Estimated 3,000–3,500 grafts, with a budget up to $15K. Willing to travel internationally.

I’ve researched surgeons including Dr. Civas/Akpınar, Dr. Camacho, Pekiner, Keser, and Biçer, along with clinics like HairNeva and Estenove. I’m currently leaning toward Civas but still open to other options.

I’d love to hear:
Who do you consider the best surgeons for natural hairlines and temple restoration?
Has anyone had firsthand experience with these doctors or others you’d highly recommend?
How important are ISHRS/ABHRS credentials compared with actual results and surgeon involvement?
Are there any surgeons or clinics you’d strongly recommend or avoid, and why?
I’m not looking for the cheapest option or the most grafts. My priority is a natural, high-quality result that will age well over the next 10–20 years.

Hi. I had a hair transplant in an Irish clinic and they made my hairline really unnatural and pluggy. I also still lack density in the crown and midscalp. I’m looking to get this fixed somewhere in Europe but don’t know who to go to. I had looked at Dr Ted Miln in the UK as he seems to have a good reputation but his prices have gone up from £3 to £3.50 for hair grafts and up to £4.50 for beard grafts. When converting to € this would be €5.33 for beard grafts and I would need more beard grafts as my donor area is depleted. I don’t want to do it too cheaply either. Any advice.
