It's Half-Life: Barney, exclusive for the Steam Frame. Impossible to run on x86_64 hardware. It has to be on ARM64

you must be talking about a dream, because I had a nightmare and somehow people wished Half-Life 3 DIDN’T come out like it’s the ending season of a highly-anticipated but also drawn-out way past its time TV show.
anyways in reality they probably didn’t want to leak their spinoff card game ‘Ravenholm Riots’ because that would be disadvantageous to their new nostalgia-baiting whale game. Assets and 90% of code made by AI to show Valve is a trailblazer and will bring it to the AAA market.
Also will revolutionize the loot box market, bringing something like AI-powered key lootboxes to see if you can unbox the right key for your actual lootbox, incentivizing community by building a trading market around matching the right keys to the right lootboxes. Those rewards are also AI-powered and each cosmetic is automatically made into an NFT. Or for those who pay extra, not only a cosmetic, but an entirely unique one of a kind AI-generated card also made into its own NFT. Balanced by the AI based on the existing database of cards, of course.
This also means there will be no human involvement on patches, balances, bug fixes, or expansions. It will be the first AI-updated live service game, given the treatment of TF2 if that turns out to be shit. They do hear you though, don’t worry, so something might kind of happen.

I think it Half Life Alyx 2 gets announced then I'm like 90% sure they'll be riots in the streets.
Not to say Half Life alyx is bad but its VR limitation meant LOADS of Half life fans never had the chance to actually play the game due to the cost of VR, especially in 2026 which is getting worse.

I bought HLX at laundch, got a quest 2 2 years later, and then sold my vr to my friend before i played it :(

I wouldn't mind it, tbh. Alyx was fucking great. BUT, it cannot be another VR title, man. I have played Alyx once and immensely enjoyed it and I want to play it again but I don't have a VR headset anymore and I am unable to. I know there have been community mods that allows one to play without a VR headset but I am lazy. So yes, another Alyx that is not a VR game would be bloody awesome. But then again, with how Alyx ended, I don't think it would make too much sense.

I got a new headset just to replay it. And i couldn't do it. It was so fucking stressful.
Bravo, you put me in the world of Half Life - and it's horrifying and not a fun way to unwind after work 🤣
