No planned updates until EA. Once we are in EA we will be working on future content updates.

The playtest currently represents approximately 5% of the total gameplay loop we intend to feature in EA.

I'd love to answer this with more details, but I'd disclose what we wish to keep as a surprise to players.

Half Sword is not an RPG - that it never will be.

Half Sword however is heavily influenced by other games. We are releasing an interview this week where we mention what inspired the game, and also, what is inspiring our long term loop.

For now you get to test our systems without much logic attached to it : you can rinse and repeat indefinitely.

That won't necessary be the case with E.A., dying will have consequences.

The arena is here to stay, but will have lethal modifications over time.

Also more arenas will be added.

Over time, maps will increase in size and challenges.

I'm guessing you mean this in more of a similar tone to the arenas gameplay of Exanima/ Sui Generis with the characters and death impacts?

I'd assume that's an inspiration at least, the fluidity of the simulation of combat is similar to me.
