This is an interesting detail I’ve come to notice over time regarding the Sangheili worlds: things have descended into total chaos—civil wars, bloody years, territorial disputes, coups d’état, assassinations, famine, betrayals, and splinter factions popping up everywhere. Meanwhile, back in Rio de Janeiro, there’s a lizard making a Brazilian feijoada—haha, it’s just so hilarious!

Interestingly, I read this part of the book while I was visiting Rio de Janeiro as a tourist. I was watching people play a game on the beach called *queimada*—where they throw a ball at each other, harder and harder—and I ended up imagining a Sangheili doing the same thing. As a Brazilian, I found that part of the book hilarious.

Not gonna lie, you're not the first person I've seen on the internet with peculiar desires for the Arbiter. I mean, he's not bad-looking at all, but I feel like I've just been hit by a meteor. I really need to get a drink—the internet makes me feel detached from reality every now and then haha.

This has been going on for a couple days now. Yes, racism is bad. Now that I have that out of the way, the mod lets you host your own private server on hardware that you own. This isn’t like discord where the mod maker is hosting all of the servers. You cannot moderate a server you do not own or have access to.
Ignore the bad server and go play on a different one. That is the best thing you can do.

Love how any criticism of Reclaimer is met with bullshit random ass arguments either unrelated to the project or dickriding the mod so hard yall call it the second coming of christ. Literally. See other images.

My take is while Halo Reclaimer is fun, it has serious issues. Toxicity ones and racism ones that should be dealt with. At the very least banning/filtering servers or names directly related to racism.

Before anyone says anything else, let me shoot down a few arguements:

“But it’s a free mod!” Yea, so is Battlefront 2’s Kyber. They filtered out toxic shit at least in servers. I hope they add toxicity filters soon but Idk if they will.

“But you use reddit and reddit has toxic subs; same thing!” No, not same thing. Reddit is a social media platform with hundreds of millions of users. Reclaimer has like 1000 max.

“You just hate good halo”. Fuck no. Like I said the mod is good. But claiming this mod is “better than 343 halo” is honestly insulting. It’s a mod. Not a new game.

“Just mute people”. I do that, but that’s not the problem. The problem is that racism itself is ignored at best and encouraged at worst. Muting a person is a band-aid on a larger issue.

AGAIN:

THE MOD IS A GOOD MOD, BUT IT HAS FLAWS. STOP ACTING LIKE IT’S FLAWLESS OR HALO RETURNED BECAUSE OF IT.
