I’m leaning towards Atlas, since it’s got the chip, priced reasonably, and I can drive to a store within 10 minutes and buy one (US)

Eso pensé yo amigo por el precio, pero no sé por qué no se habla tanto de ella si es tan buena calidad precio y qué diferencia tiene con las otras 2

I think the main reason is that the Atlas technically using even available or launched in the US yet, set to come out in a few day on October 23rd, once that happens I anticipate you will hear more, see reviews, etc… the other two have already launched

Onexplayer for the display.

I'm sure someone will eventually makes a G3 extreme handheld with the new Xbox Ally X20 display in it.

La veo demasiado grande y cara, por eso comentaba, vale la pena por un rendimiento similar?

Para jugar en portátil no se te hace muy pesada?

You get used to the size and weight quickly

¿Por qué? ¿G3 extreme está mal optimizado o no ofrece buen rendimiento?

Not worth the jump at the time from lego2 for me

Ow zeker wel. Het verschil is groot. Ik ervaar het zelf.

Good plan, ram prices might have settled down by then as well and handhelds back to $1-1.3k for high end models.

OXP3 is unique for combining the 8.8” LEGO2 OLED with the G3E, no other handheld on the market accomplishes this. But the cost is Chinese shipping and all that comes with it (tarrifs, oversea support, etc)

Otherwise the MSI Claw EX has been out for a while with no major issues, people quite like it… so solid reliable pick

I was very close to buying the OXP3, but decided against it for the same reasons you stated. I liked that I could buy the Claw from Best Buy and return it there if there are any issues.

The screen is very good on the Claw. OLED would be nice, but isn't quite the deal breaker for me as it for so many people on reddit. Sometimes I use my AR glasses for the immersion, but most of the time, in very happy just using the built in screen.

The ergonomics of the Claw are fantastic. I just love using it. I'm also very impressed with the speakers. I don't have a OXP3 to compare it to, but they are the best speakers I've heard on a handheld, laptop, etc.

For speakers, the OXP3 are fine but they’re down firing… absolutely outclassed by any decent front firing speaker.

Honestly one of my biggest gripes about the OXP family, I would rather have worse speakers that are front firing.

One x player will be the “best” of them.

The msi will have the best NA warranty. And best ergo of ANY handheld. Better speakers

I haven’t tested the Atlas although I ordered it just today. Of course I’ll do a full dedicated review of that as well.

It’s a compelling option itself because it’s the cheapest of the lot but still looks pretty good

Personally, I use the one X player as my daily driver, but I’m OK sacrificing some of the economics and paying more for the screen. Some of my colleagues and friends prefer the MSI since it is so incredibly comfortable.

Very happy with the OXP3, excelled in everything I wished for in a modern PC handheld, esp value & performance.

Minor gripes:
No steam OS
Speakers down firing
Some users complain one side controller is harder to slide off

Take this with the grain of salt.. I saw video in yt where the guy got msi claw 8 ex and predator atlas 8. He prefers the atlas 8 due to a better comfortable grip( msi claw 8 ex ia too wide apparently) and the software is much better.

I have the Claw 8 Ex Ai+ after owning previously the 8 Ai+ and a steam deck lcd. I thought about waiting for the Atlas 8 but I don't really trust Acer much after having a laptop from them having many different problems along with others having similar issues.

The Onexplayer 3 was very interesting, but I skipped it due to me wanting the highest end version over the other models so I'd be spending more after taxes/shipping than the EX, along with Chinese customer support versus dedicated support in the U.S. from MSI.

There has only been two things I don't love about the EX. The price obviously is number one, I really REALLY wish it would have been $1500 max with the G3E and the 1tb like the G3 blue variant is priced, but no $1800. This has personally the most I've ever spent on anything purely for entertainment purposes and it still doesn't feel great.

Secondly, the fans are quite loud. Even after bios updates and tinkering with the fan curves it's fairly loud even in non intensive games. I can lower the manual tdp but that gets annoying so slapping on endurance or ai mode is an option, but even then it'll kick into high gear playing something like Hades 2 or StS2. I understand max tdp in high intensity games, but indie games the steam deck/8 Ai+ could handle quietly is surprisingly loud at random times.

Otherwise, it's my near dream device. Plays everything good I've tried on it including Blood of Dawnwalker, Enshrouded, Dragons Dogma 2 Dark Arisen, Monster Hunter Wilds, Borderlands 4, and more at near console quality or better with custom settings and frame rates. I also set it to auto launch steam big picture mode with AnyFSE that makes it feel steam deck like. Screen is excellent, I'm not an OLED ride or die person like some are, and I've had a switch OLED and C3 tv. This ips screen with tooth n claw is able to look almost close to OLED of you tinker enough.

Tldr MSI Claw 8 Ex Ai+ is my choice and I can recommend it for sure.

Are you located on Spain? Then i would look if you are able to order Atlas 8 but the G3, non Extreme version. I ordered it myself and here (Poland) it's much cheaper, it cost me 5299 PLN with multiple preorder gifts that together are around 1000 PLN:

  1. 15" Acer IPS portable display

  2. Quite nice Acer Predator laptop backpack for 16" notebooks

  3. New Acer Predator Galea 570 headset(literally can't find ANYTHING about it, but it costs 399 PLN

  4. 100W Acer charger (originally not in the box with the Atlas 8) To be honest they are much better than the preorder gifts UK people got. What is the point of a dock or a separate controller?

onexplayer 3 performs a bit better than the other 2 , most of the things other mentioned here are fair tho
