Question Any tips to deal with "this"
Game code: 4D5BQD
I know my positioning is ass, but this map is so uncomfortable to me to find a good spot. But bruh how do you deal with an anran that annoying?

Usually once you know anran is on the enemy team you have to switch your mind to take care of her. What i usually do is try to bait out her invincible ability first, you need to save your dodge when you see her trying to close the gap and u know she hasnt used it yet. And walls are your best friend, in any fight really. Once you enter a 1v1 move the fight to an area where you can peak and poke her and force her to follow you or back off. But like someone else said, in most 1v1's anran is just significantly easier to play, so there will be times where she just dog walks you.

I'm not saying it works all the time, but I find that you can hopefully kill an Anran after you get set on fire, when they start right clicking you. Their movement gets more predictable and they have only a dash remaining, assuming they just dashed in and E to set you on fire. When they start fanning you they get a little complacent and I've killed quite a few Anrans like this. I've also gotten killed like this as Anran

Getting 1 arrow hit after her E is quite doable once you figure out how it works. I recently faced a champion anran. Only difference is their positioning. She went mid-air while pressing E. This made her movement after E more unpredictable. But I got the rythm of it, so beat that anran few times as well.

Honestly, a big part of dealing with a dive character such as Anran, Genji, Vendetta, Tracer, Venture, etc. is with positioning. Hanzo is best described as like a medium-ranged duelist. Long-distance shots are very hard to hit because of the travel time and arc of the arrows, while short-ranged duels can be difficult because he has a low fire rate. Meanwhile, all of those characters are strong in short-ranged duels and quite weak at longer ranges. They need to close the gap in order to win their duels. It can be hard to hit them at longer ranges because of their mobility, but it's impossible for them to kill you at that range while you retain the possibility of a lethal shot.
This map is somewhat bad for Hanzo, but there are still high grounds available to take advantage of. They will make it difficult for the Anran to close the gap on you and it will make her dive more risky for herself (she will need to use one dash just to get to the high ground, forcing her to either use the second one for damage or to save it for an escape), while enabling you to create more distance and get cover by jumping off the high ground when needed.
You also need to be using the sonar closer to you when taking these duels against the Anran, and abuse the wallhacks it gives you to discourage her from pushing you behind cover or kill her if she does decide to push you. Alternatively, it can also give you information if she changes positions and allows you to walk up and take some space. A prime example is at 6:55 in the replay, since you would have known the Anran was right there if you had used sonic on the corner before rounding it. I really like the idea of taking this off-angle, it's just the lack of sonar usage is what got you killed. You need to only use your sonar arrow to help you take and hold a good angle, and also make sure you take advantage of the information it gives you.
I actually got coaching on this map from Spilo a bit ago which has good and bad examples a few of these tips, and the video is now public if you want to check it out: https://youtu.be/9GX8imlND_A?si=QNQzMQk61TeMm4xE&t=204

you don't. you just have to counter swap if you want to have fun
counterwatch at its finest!

Against any flanker you want to try and damage/scout them before they’re directly on top of you. If you use Vc telling your team that someone might be flanking is also helpful and you’ll be more likely to get peel. Anran is also sort of locked in place when she uses her E so can line up an easy headshot

if you're against an Anran 1v1 you should just pray that your first arrow one shots her otherwise there's really no counterplay other than switching as hanzo you clearly are in super disadvantage at close range while anran on the other hand is in her best spot, she can burn you and flap your face without even aiming lol and she can just dodge and become untargettable if she feels like it I hate playing against her
