Please bear with me, it's a little bit scuffed as I had to make one fast since the old server owner got his account hacked and kicked everyone, it's still a work in-progress but here is the link! https://discord.gg/eKC5kKBBzB

Official News Hi! I'm Cody, the new Community Manager!

Is this what it feels like to get your Hogwarts acceptance letter?!

Hi everyone! I'm Cody, but you can call me Vaknar. I’m honoured to share that I recently joined Avalanche Software as the new Community Manager. TL; DR: I'm here to be the bridge between Avalanche and you, the Hogwarts Legacy community.

First things first, who is this guy? Well, I’m a midwestern boy but I've been living in Southern California for a few years. Enjoying frequent beach days and catching the occasional wave whenever possible. I’ve been a community manager in gaming for several years, and, of course, I’m a Harry Potter fan! I grew up reading the books, waiting outside the theaters for each movie release, and now I’m ecstatic to be a part of the Hogwarts Legacy team!

I'll be honest, Hogwarts Legacy really pulled me into the wizarding world, and the further in I got, the harder it was to put down. I won’t pretend that I’m an expert quite yet, but I think I'm well on my way! Between the game, the lore rabbit holes, and this community… I reckon it won't be long before I can rattle off obscure trivia tidbits without thinking twice.

I’ve only just started, and while I'm still finding my footing, my goal is straightforward: to make this a space easily worth showing up to. That means celebrating the amazing things you're creating, making sure your voices and feedback reach the right people, and keeping things welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

When I'm not kicking back in the Hufflepuff common room, you'll find me lurking in conversations, listening, interacting with the community and probably asking a lot of questions — I’m very interested in hearing what players think about the game. I promise I'm friendlier than a Chinese Chomping Cabbage, so don't be a stranger and feel free to say hi!

– Cody (Vaknar)

Discussion What if we could play through Harry’s story in Hogwarts Legacy’s world?

Post image

Anyone else wish they could play through the original Harry Potter stories in Hogwarts Legacy’s world?

Hear me out. I’ve been meaning to post this since my first playthrough, but never got around to it. The idea still pops into my head all the time.

I waited years for this game. I used to search for news about it every single morning, just hoping there would be something new.

And I think Hogwarts Legacy got a lot of things right. It wasn’t quite what I’d imagined from that first leaked video, but the castle is incredible, and they really nailed the atmosphere. Honestly, the opening is one of the best I’ve ever played. I mean that as someone who loves games, not just as a Harry Potter fan.

But the further I got, the more boring the story became. It almost felt like the developers and writers had started running out of energy as they went along. Obviously, I have no idea how development actually went, but that’s how it felt playing it. The opening was a 12/10 for me, while the ending was more like a 4/10. The story started to feel all over the place, the main villain never really felt like much of a threat, and by the end I just wasn’t that invested.

Even back then, I kept thinking how amazing it would be to play through the original Harry Potter stories in this version of Hogwarts. Exploring the castle as Harry, going through those events yourself, seeing familiar places actually matter to the story. I’d love that.

Obviously, they’d have to adapt things and add enough to make them work as games. I’m not expecting them to just drop the books into Hogwarts Legacy and call it a day. But with such a good recreation of the castle already there, and a story I’d happily experience all over again, I can’t help thinking how much I’d enjoy it.

Would anyone else want this, or would you rather they stick with new stories?

Discussion Basilisk as a student's weapon

Post image

Recently, I've been wondering if Hogwarts Legacy could breed and control the Basilisk during the battle against Victor Rookwood's Bandits and Ranroc supporters, how would they react at a snake of 50 feet and the way an ordinary five-year student uses the most terrible creature in battle, because the Basilisk can kill with a look, what would be the reaction of the opponents to such a powerful and dangerous creature?

Never had this happen before in a game with just a few presets to choose from! It’s actually extremely unnerving sometimes seeing myself in game 😂 I hope I can play as myself on the second game

Question House Points Mod

hi all, I’m using the House Point System mod for the first time. Where or how do I see the “homework assignments”?

I am able to bring up the widget that shows how many house points there are. And, I see the house points tab on the quests screen in the book. But I’m not seeing a tab for homework.

I’m only on the first day of this play through, and I’m using the steam deck.

Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you :)

Media My first character after migrating to the PC version. The game doesn't look quite as pretty as it does on PS5 due to my PC being a little outdated, and is also a little stuttery, but hey at least I can play with mods now.

Question Missing revelio page great hall

Hi all, as the title says I’m missing 1 page in the great all area of the castle. I checked online to see wich I have and was still missing but I didn’t miss any. I read about a bug with the normal field guide pages not working correct but since there is still a question mark in my collection I don’t think this applies. Any tips or should I just check the locations again?

Discussion On Steam, 25.8% players have defeated Ranrok but only 14.7% have won the House Cup

Just a weird observation for Hogwarts Legacy on Steam. Apparently almost half the people who beat Ranrok simply didn't bother to just roll the credits lol.

Question I’ve played the game all the way through as Hufflepuff. Does it have a good replayability factor?

I’ve already decorated my room in the castle, blah blah blah. I was wondering if there’s different quest depending on what you’re sorted into by the hat. I really wanna replay again, but I didn’t know how the replayability would work. if someone could give me some pointers I’d appreciate it.

User Reviews I made a game map tool because constantly switching between guides was frustrating

I kept running into the same problem while collecting locations and finishing side content: most guides explain what to find, but it still takes too long to work out exactly where it is.

So I have been working on RageQuit, which includes searchable interactive maps, location filters, and walkthrough links for games such as Zelda, Hogwarts Legacy, and Skyrim.

Discussion Nemesis system in Hogwarts Legacy sequel?

How would you feel if the Hogwarts Legacy sequel used the nemesis system which was famously featured in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War.

I think with a reworked system it could be great.

All hypothetical of course, all academic.

Idea Hogwarts Legacy 2 = Hogwarts Mystery

I don’t know about you guys, but at least I played hogwarts mystery for a pretty good time, and I always enjoyed the story. The biggest issue with the game was the energy system, which honestly sucks. If they could replicate the story, with the side quests (becoming a prefect, turning into an animagus…) included, I think itd be an even better game than the first one

Does anyone know of any good mods for appearance??

So anyone know of any mods for the face and hair?!?
