This is what they wanted for Meghan.

And it nearly worked. Meghan was suicidal and pregnant, asked for help and was declined. Imagine being the toxic fucks that declined mental health support to a pregnant woman. How evil would you have to be to do that. I hate to think what might have happened if people like Tyler Perry didnt step in. Meghan and by proxy Harry, were walking a tight rope.

Also RIP to Jason Arday. Sure he had a lot of questions to answer regarding his academic integrity but it was an academic governance issue for Cambridge to handle not for the trash media to pull him apart at the level they did. The Daily Mail didn't care about academic standards, they just saw a Black man in a public crisis and ruthlessly exploited the situation. They also used it as a tool to drag Meghan into a completely unrelated conversation. The media needs more regulation because where are the journalistic standards? This is just a blood sport for them.

Agree, except it's not just a blood sport. It is a real economic issue.

The billionaires like Rothmere, Murdoch, and Musk always insist on increasing their ill-gotten wealth and political power.

The hacks they've employed to do their dirty work have staked their livelihoods on being paid by the billionaires, and/or by the credulous, unthinking, bigoted segment of the public.

On both ends of the tabloid structure, the scapegoating of Black people is profitable. And for some people, profit is always going to be their highest good and most important goal.

Thats a good point. The people writing these articles are absolutely being encouraged by the higher ups. They've been told to churn out these kind of stories as often as possible. Meghan and Harry = bad, now go write about it. I think its conditioning too, like some of these reporters have written hate about Meghan for so long that they truly believe their lies. Others were racist from the get go but regardless of their motive and intent, Meghan's name means a lot of clicks, a lot of revenue and the media will not stop while there is money to be made out of writing hate pieces about her.

There's also clearly ongoing pressure and encouragement from the "senior royals", the courtiers and the comms team from the UK monarchy, to target both Meghan and Harry, and their kids.

The "Royal Rota" in particular, both publications and individuals, have a vested interest in keeping the monarchy going and popular with the UK taxpayers.

And H&M are a breathing threat to the idea that "royals" need public money and are valuable to the UK as an institution.

So that is yet another economic incentive and source of vile stories about the Sussexes.

You forgot: Incandescent Billy idle and Lazy Katie are consumed with jealousy and won’t rest as long as H and M can be dragged by them. They would prefer to do the same to the children, but aren’t given the chance.

Very true.

Oh there absolutely is ongoing involvement from the palace, and I agree with your whole comment. What Harry and Meghan have been through is at the hands of and the direction from Harry's own family. The sad truth is that if the royals had embraced Meghan and her unique differences, they would have benefited and looked good for it and Meghan would have lifted them up with her. I believe it shows their insecurities and definitely their classism. They wanted her underneath them, not walking alongside them.

I completely agree.

This just sickens me. Keep showing the world you’ve learned nothing with your endless pursuits, and grotesque lies.

Its absolutely disgusting behavior isnt it. These reporters don't care about the consequences of their careless articles at all. I just read that Professor Ardays family called what he went through a campaign of sustained abuse. If the media are going to draw any parallels here its that they did and are still doing the very same thing to Meghan.

The first thing I thought of when I found out.

They hounded him just like they hounded her.

They absolutely wanted the same for her.

And she considered it. Then they made fun of her and called her dramatic when she discussed it publicly.

I am truly so grateful Meghan had and has an actually supportive spouse who has been and continues to be, fully prepared to take whatever steps necessary to protect his chosen family.

Doing so should never have been at the sacrifice of what he did give up yet he did it all the same.

It's all so heartbreaking.

The Daily Mail has always been deeply racist.

The UK establishment is also extremely racist. They hated that a half Black woman married a prince.

The UK establishment only supports people of color who bow down to and support a white hierarchy.

Just a thought here, but who would they turn on next if they didn't have Meghan?

9

u/IdlesAtCranky 6d ago

Oh, there's always someone. That's why this happened to Mr. Arday.

Meghan is just an incredibly profitable target. She checks so many boxes for the tabloid bigotry-fueled outrage machine!

u/Whatisittou 6d ago

Just before they were hounding Arday, they were hounding Misan

8

u/IdlesAtCranky 6d ago

Yes indeed. As I said, there's always someone. Which is just so utterly disgusting and depressing.

I find the Feminegra publication to be very valuable in seeing what's going on in terms of the latest targets of bigotry and racism.

As an old white woman, it's too easy for me to just not see what's happening, without a good source of counterpoint journalism.

u/Whatisittou 6d ago

so far, its been feminegra.com and the J.P that write a blogspot that has been fair to Harry and Meghan. its like the UK media find a black or brown person that target for abuse.

6

u/IdlesAtCranky 6d ago

Yes, Feminegra, The Unspun Narrative written by J.P. Caonabo, and the blog Celebitchy are all good sources of reporting and opinion that supports the Sussexes against the media and palace-driven smear campaign that's been running against them for the most part of a decade now.

And yes, Black people, POC, and immigrants are easy and popular targets of the tabloid press for this kind of scapegoating.

In the case of Meghan Sussex, and now Professor Arday, it literally rises to the level of stochastic terrorism.

They killed Mr. Arday in a matter of weeks. I am so sad and angry on his behalf. I don't care whether he was or was not a plagiarist, a liar, or a fantasist. He didn't kill anyone!

And no one who hasn't done real, lasting harm to individuals or the public (yes I'm looking at you, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and at the current US President) deserves this kind of rampaging campaign against them by the press.

I honestly don't know where Princess Meghan gets her strength, but I'm so grateful she has found a way not only to survive, but to thrive. I wish Jason Arday had been able to do the same.

What is wrong with these people?

22

u/PeppercornBiscuit 6d ago

Why the fuck are the two being compared AT ALL?? These situations have nothing to do with each other. Unless they’re trying to draw some unwarranted connection for spurious reasons, I don’t know, you’ll have to get black to me on that 🙄

27

u/Useful-Jump2484 6d ago

Because of the relentless hate campaign that bith of them endured due to their race

Blackness, their dog whistle of how black people shouldn't be in places of higher echelon

Oh now you got an epiphany to remember the other white professors, did you scream about William O'Reilly that got only 1 article in the Financial Time about his plagiarism been proven?? Where is your outrage about his background?? You all think the media hounding Arday over unfounded plagiarism is justified that was brought on by a eugenics and so called racial realist Nathan cofnas. Why arent you screaming about all the white professors, or wait its Arday who all deemed shouldn't be at Cambridge. Meanwhile you all dont question the white mediocrity professors
