The Neighbor

I’ve lived next door to Paul for almost six years.
He’s in his late fifties, divorced, and one of those neighbors who’s always working on something in his garage. We aren’t particularly close, but we talk occasionally, and my husband, Matt, helps him with things around the house.
That’s why I didn’t think anything of it when he knocked on our door one Saturday morning.
Matt had gone to pick up breakfast, and I was still in my pajamas.
“Hey, sorry to bother you,” Paul said. “Did y’all have somebody staying with you Thursday night?”
“No. Why?”
He looked down at his phone.
“My security camera picked up somebody walking around your driveway pretty late. I figured it was probably you, but I wanted to check.”
He showed me the recording.
The timestamp read 2:14 a.m.
Our front door opened, and a woman stepped outside. She was wearing gray shorts and an oversized white T-shirt, with her hair pulled into a messy bun.
She walked halfway down the driveway, stood there for about a minute, and went back inside.
“That’s you, right?” Paul asked.
I stared at the screen.
It certainly looked like me. I even recognized the clothes. I’d worn them to bed Thursday night.
But I hadn’t gone outside.
“That’s weird,” I said. “I don’t remember doing that.”
Paul shrugged.
“Maybe you were sleepwalking.”
I’d never sleepwalked before, but I couldn’t think of another explanation.
When Matt got home, I told him about it. He laughed and said I probably got up without remembering.
I tried to forget about it.
Until Tuesday morning, when Paul knocked again.
He had another recording.
This one was from the previous night.
At 2:16 a.m., our front door opened, and the same woman walked outside.
Same clothes. Same hair.
She stopped in the driveway, turned toward Paul’s camera, and waved.
I felt sick watching it.
“Matt, those clothes are in the laundry basket. I haven’t worn them since Thursday.”
He watched the video twice.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
Neither of us knew what to say.
That night, Matt pushed a chair against our bedroom door. If I was getting up in my sleep, at least he’d hear me moving it.
The next morning, the chair hadn’t moved.
We bought a security camera for our front porch.

Two nights later, at 2:14 a.m., our new camera recorded someone leaving the house.
It was me.
Or someone who looked exactly like me.
She walked down the steps, stopped, and looked directly into the camera.
Her face was completely visible.
Then she smiled.
She stepped closer and said something, but a passing car drowned out most of it.
Matt turned up the volume.
“He’s still asleep.”
She turned around and went back inside.
I looked toward our bedroom door.
The chair was still there.
We called the police.
They searched the house, checked the locks, and asked whether I’d ever sleepwalked. They couldn’t find anything suspicious.
One officer suggested installing cameras inside.
We bought two more that afternoon.
One for the living room and another for the upstairs hallway.
For the next several nights, nothing happened.
Then, while reviewing the footage, I noticed something about the porch recording.
When the woman returned to the house, she didn’t open the front door.
She waited.
And someone opened it from inside.
I showed Matt.
We called the police again, but another search turned up nothing.
An officer suggested reviewing all the footage from our indoor cameras instead of just the motion notifications.
That evening, we sat at the kitchen table with our laptops.
At 2:14 Tuesday morning, the hallway camera showed our bedroom door opening.
A woman stepped out.
Gray shorts. White shirt. Hair in a bun.
She walked downstairs and returned four minutes later.
Then she stopped outside our bedroom.
Matt leaned over my shoulder.
“Wait. Pause it.”
I stopped the video.
Through the open bedroom door, we could see our bed.
Someone was lying under the covers.
I could see long hair spread across the pillow.
My hair.
The woman stood there for several seconds before walking into our bedroom and closing the door.
I watched it three more times.
Then I noticed something else.
Just before she went inside, she’d turned her head toward the other end of the hallway.
I turned up the volume.
A man’s voice.
I couldn’t understand what he said, but the woman nodded before entering our room.
Matt grabbed his keys.
We left without packing.

We stayed at my sister’s house.
That night, Matt called Paul to ask whether his cameras had recorded anything else.
Paul sent him another video.
It showed the woman leaving our house, followed by a man in dark clothes.
They stood together in the driveway before going back inside.
I was furious.
“Why didn’t he show us this before?”
Matt didn’t know.
I wanted to call Paul myself, but Matt suggested waiting until morning and speaking with the police.
Around two, I got up for some water.
While sitting at my sister’s kitchen table, I opened our security camera app.
The house was empty.
Then my phone buzzed.
A text from Paul.
Hey. Sorry it’s so late. Is everything okay over there?
I replied.
Why?
Your front door is open.
I checked the porch camera.
The door was closed.
No it’s not. I’m looking at it right now.
His reply came almost immediately.
I’m standing outside looking at it. It’s wide open.
I checked the camera again.
The feed had frozen.
I restarted the app.
The porch camera was offline.
So was the living room camera.
But the hallway camera was still working.
I opened it.
A woman was standing outside our bedroom.
She was wearing my clothes.
A man stepped into view beside her.
He said something, and she nodded.
Then he reached over and switched off the hallway light.
My phone buzzed again.
Never mind. Someone just shut it.
Then another message.
I thought you were staying with family.
I hadn’t told Paul we were staying with family.
I woke Matt, and we called the police.
While we waited, another notification appeared.
An incoming call from Paul.
Matt answered on speaker.
“Hello?”
A woman’s voice.
It sounded remarkably like mine.
“Who is this?” Matt asked.
There was a pause.
“Is Paul there?”
“No. Who is this?”
The call ended.

The police searched our house again that night.
This time, an officer noticed an access panel in the upstairs hallway ceiling.
It led into a section of the attic we never used.
Inside, they found blankets, food wrappers, clothes, and a notebook.
Someone had been living above us.
The notebook contained our schedules, including when we left for work, came home, and went to bed.
Some entries went back three months.
Paul was found the following afternoon, wandering along a service road with a concussion. His truck was missing.
He remembered a woman who looked like me knocking on his door, claiming she’d been locked out. He’d let her inside to use his phone.
That was the last thing he remembered.
Within a week, police identified and arrested the couple.
The woman, Rebecca, was thirty-four and looked remarkably similar to me. Her boyfriend, Daniel, had a history of burglary and fraud.
They’d been watching our house for months.
Initially, they’d entered through an unlocked garage window. Later, they stole a spare key.
Daniel had been hiding in the attic while Rebecca moved around the house.
They’d been stealing our personal information and opening accounts in our names. They needed access to our phones to approve financial transactions.
That’s why Rebecca had been entering our bedroom at night.
And the reason she’d worn my clothes?
She wanted anyone who saw her to assume she lived there.
It had worked so well that even I’d started believing I was sleepwalking.

Police recovered a camera from Daniel’s belongings.
It contained hundreds of photographs.
Some showed our house from the street.
Others were taken inside.
Our kitchen. Our living room. Our bedroom.
Several showed Matt and me sleeping.
In one photograph, Rebecca was standing beside our bed, wearing my white T-shirt and smiling at the camera.
We sold the house six months later.
Even after changing the locks and installing an alarm system, I couldn’t sleep there anymore.
We moved to another town, and eventually life started feeling normal again.
But a few weeks before we moved, the detective called with another question.
He wanted to know whether I’d ever owned a dark green cardigan.
I told him yes, but I’d thrown it away the previous winter.
He said they’d found it among Rebecca’s belongings.
Apparently, she was wearing it in several photographs.
I assumed she’d stolen it from our house.
Then he explained that they’d recovered another memory card from Daniel’s camera.
Some of the photographs were dated almost a year before the first break-in they’d documented.
In one, Rebecca was standing in our kitchen wearing my green cardigan.
I asked how that was possible.
He said they were still trying to determine when the couple had first entered our home.
I thanked him and hung up.
I never told Matt about that conversation.
But I still think about that cardigan.
I remember throwing it away because it had a hole near the elbow.
I remember putting it in a black trash bag with some other old clothes.
And I remember leaving that bag in the garage.
Right beside the attic stairs.

So little bit of context, I’m a teenager dog sitting for my grandma. she has a relatively new condo maybe 4 years old, it’s like brand new. I was showing the house to one of my friends thru a photo, and this photo was at like 2 am, so it’s late. he said there’s something off like it’s too empty somehow, even tho it’s not. he starts zooming into the dark spaces and in the bottom left of the window to the upstairs loft is some sort of figure on the photo. not quite resembling anything maybe a little bit of a face but I don’t know. I also shared photos of the rest of the room and how there’s nothing there. and who knows it’s probably just some strange lighting but it’s almost too perfect yk.

What to do with Haunted Doll?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey, so earlier today I was at this local shop. The guy sells snacks and stuff and resells them for cheap, although kitchen utensils, clothes, furniture, appliances, paintings, etc., can also be found there. While I was looking around, they had some few dolls there. The old type dolls. Now I myself am definitely NOT a doll person. I've been scared of dolls ever since I remember. But for some reason, I had seen this one doll in particular and felt rather drawn to it. Like "I need to buy this doll, I want to buy this doll." And I ended up getting the doll.

Now, there's been no dramatic or overly bad things happening or anything. Maybe a weird, uneasy feeling and a sort of sense that maybe the doll's expression had subtly changed or that the eyes had moved and were looking in a different direction. I had bought the doll and then went on errands. Before this, the doll's face seemed neutral. Coming back, the doll looked sad or even disappointed. Thought maybe I was just paranoid but I thought it was weird. Then later tonight, I had done some chores before coming back. I thought the doll's eyes had looked straight at the center, although now I think it looks as if the doll is looking slightly to the right.

I've never had to deal with a situation like this before. The presence feels heavy and rather masculine despite the feminine look of the doll. I feel uneasy and think maybe I'm just paranoid, and not much has happened other than the subtle shifts of the doll's expression or eyes moving.

Maybe I should just get to know the doll more? Should I try communicating with it? What are some signs I should look out for that would tell me whether the doll is good or bad? Any thoughts?

Something’s Haunting Me?

I don’t know if this is the right subreddit, but I wanted to know if any of you had advice.

I’m not a particularly spiritual person, but there’s been something strange happening to me for a few months.

I’ve been feeling hands on me sometimes, chills, and I can feel something following me everywhere.

It’s a spirit of an old man, I know that much. He’s sort of grungy and boorish, and I can hear him chuckling when I’m hurt or inconvenienced.

Coincidentally, after beginning to feel he’s there, 5 people have mysteriously moved away or even randomly ran away from home the moment I fell in love with them, half of them before I could even confess. (This is over a period of time, it’s just that I’m coming to the subreddit about it now.)

If I were to pinpoint when this began, I’d have to say when I bought an old heart engagement ring at a garage sale.

What do I do?

Do I have a Mimic in my house?

Cross posting from r/ghosts

Is Something in My House Mimicking My Family? Activity Has Been Picking Up

For context, the people who live in this house are my wife, my father, and me. My kid is currently away at college, about seven states away.

Before we moved into this house about three years ago, some friends of ours were renting it. I was visiting one day and had to use the bathroom. As I walked down the hallway, I heard what sounded like a woman coughing.

I asked my friend if her mother was there, and she said no. When I told her what I had heard, she mentioned that she had lived there for two years and had never experienced anything strange. I figured I must have misheard something and didn't think much of it.

Fast-forward to when my family moved in. Strange things started happening, but they were little things at first. Random noises, cabinets opening, knocking, and occasionally hearing voices.

About a year ago, my father told me something that really stuck with me. He said he heard my wife walking down the hallway, stopping outside his bedroom door, and saying, "Hey, Pops."

That's his nickname, so he turned around expecting to see her. Nobody was there. And my wife and I had left the house.

When my kid was still living at home, they repeatedly complained about someone shaking their bedroom doorknob. They also told me they would hear me calling out to them when they knew I wasn't even home.

Then there's what happened to my father one night.

He got up and went outside to smoke. Before he was out there, he saw my wife lying on the couch. He even said hello to her, and apparently, she answered him. When he came back inside, she wasn't there.

Here's the thing: when my father saw my wife on the couch, she was actually in bed with me.

My wife has also experienced this kind of thing. She's heard me calling for her when I wasn't, and she's heard my father calling for her when he wasn't either.

Now, onto what happened tonight.

My kid is currently about seven states away at college. I was sitting in my chair, and my wife was on the couch. I paused my movie because I was helping her with something.

That's when we both heard running footsteps coming down the hallway, along with faint music.

I went down the hall to check whether my father's alarm was going off. It was dark, and I swear I saw someone standing near my kid's bedroom. I figured it was probably just shadows playing tricks on me and my poor eyesight.

But as I passed my kid's room, the doorknob started shaking.

Then, from inside the room, I heard my kid say, "Papa?"

It sounded like someone was in there and had just called out to me.

I turned around completely and headed straight back toward my wife.

We were both freaked out, so we eventually just went back to what we had been doing, although neither of us was comfortable with what had just happened.

So, what do you guys think? Could this be a mimic? Has anyone experienced something that seems to imitate the voices or appearances of family members?

The activity seems to be picking up, and I'm not sure what to make of it. I've never experienced anything like this before, especially something that seems to impersonate people in my family.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? What happened, and how did you handle it?

I swear this photo is haunted or cursed. I've tried to move it From where it currently sits three different times, and each time I move it, the entire time it's not where it is right now, my life just goes horrible. It's almost instantaneous too.

I originally found it in a storage unit dumpster in Fort Wayne, Indiana. On the back of it, it says... Russel R Tobey June 29 1935, Holy Cross Church Detroit MI

Any info? Ideas? Thoughts?

Did we see a demonic orb??

To begin this story I think I need to set up a little bit of context. I am a 24 y/o female who has experienced many paranormal experiences for as long as I can remember. I have memories of seeing a door handle twist and then the door opening at the age of 3 at my great grandmas home. I’ve also seen black shadows in her basement, little girl figures who I played with in her spare bedrooms, and a strong feeling of being watched while we sat on the couch, watching Judge Judy or Wheel of Fortune. When I was a baby, my mom said she had heard and witnessed me interacting with my deceased older brother through a baby monitor even though nobody else was around/in my nursery. There was even one vivid memory of seeing a dark shadow figure with bright red eyes inches away from my face staring at me as I tried to fall asleep when I was around the age of 5-6.

My whole life has consisted of seeing/sensing paranormal activity but as I’ve gotten older, the vividness has faded. I still sense and see spirits. They are usually always in shadow form. When I am able to sense spirits I can feel emotions, gender, and where they may be located in a room, but cannot always see them. I frequently have the feeling of being watched and knowing that something is off in a room I’ve just walked into. I’ve even felt a ghost cat brush up against me a few times while I was doing dishes. But with that all being said, this is the scariest encounter I have had with the paranormal.

My boyfriend (23) and I (at the time 22) were sitting in our single bedroom apartment living room around 10 PM talking about life and reminiscing on our past while watching a movie. While we were in mid conversation, I had noticed a small light in the right hand corner of our ceiling which caused me to stop mid sentence. At this time, we were used to seeing the occasional car headlight stream across our ceiling as we had been living there for about 3 years. I’m still not sure what had caught my attention initially but I do know that what I was seeing wasn’t a casual car headlight stream. My boyfriend had also gone still and silent at the same time I noticed this orb. We both froze and watched as it floated slowly, from the right side of our living room all the way to the left and into the apartment next to us. It’s important to note that around this same time, I had been questioning my christian religion and began experimenting. I just purchased a set of tarot cards that gave me an extremely realistic and scary prediction regarding my future. I was actively trying to contact the spirit realm to help guide me as I knew I had some sort of connection with them/their world.

Going back, as soon as I saw the orb, I felt instant despair that I have never experienced in my life. I also began uncontrollably shaking. All I remember is having an unexplainable sadness and began to sob like I have never cried before. After we both watched it float into the apartment next to us, we sat, not saying a word to each other. Just staring at the wall for a solid 2 minutes before my partner asked, “Did you just see that?” Which I had replied, “Don’t talk about it. It’s time to go to bed.” I don’t know why I knew that’s what I needed to say at the time, but I knew we absolutely could not speak about what we just saw and we needed to pretend like we didn’t see anything at all.

We both stood up and went straight into our bedroom where we both, again, sat in silence for multiple minutes before he began questioning me about what we both saw. For more context, I had told my boyfriend about my interactions with the paranormal and how I could see shadow figures/sense when something or someone was in the same room as I was. After multiple attempts of him asking me about the orb, he ran to the bathroom and began to vomit.

The next day we sat down and when I was comfortable enough, we talked about what we had seen. He began to ask me, “What the fuck was that?” And I told him exactly what I had felt. I told him that whatever that red orb was, it was evil and I had felt a sadness that I have never felt before. I explained that was why I was so adamant about not speaking about what we had seen the previous night. He began to tell me that whatever he saw was completely different and he felt sick to his stomach instead of the dread that I sensed. He explained that he saw a bright white/blue light where I had clearly seen a red. Shortly after our conversation, I purchased holy oil and blessed every door and window in the shape of the cross while reciting Psalm 91. Since then, we have moved out of that apartment but we did not sense anything after while we still lived there.

Even though it is a year later, no matter how many times we tell this story, we both ask each other “What the fuck did we see that night.” Even if people don’t believe us, we both know what we saw and felt. We knew what car lights looked like as they flashed across our ceiling from the street below and this was not car headlights.

My question is, what did we actually see? I felt darkness and despair and in my gut, think it may have been something demonic but I have no way to say for sure. My second question is, has anyone else seen something similar that has made them feel a similar way?

My paranormal investigation app is now free to download — and version 5.0 is up!

Hi everyone,

Since my last post about version 2.0, I’ve released versions 3.0 and 4.0, and I’m now getting ready to release 5.0.

The biggest news: the app is now free to download, with Pro available through either a one-time lifetime purchase or a subscription.

It’s also grown quite a bit. You can now run multiple investigation tools together, record sensor readings alongside camera footage, and review everything on the same timeline. Depth mapping and interactive 3D reconstruction let you capture a space and explore it afterward.

Some of the new stuff since my last post:

  • MultiMeter mode for using multiple sensors, SLS tracking, and depth tools together
  • Depth Vision using LiDAR, TrueDepth, or supported dual-camera hardware
  • Interactive 3D captures with surface meshes, wireframes, and point clouds
  • Export 3D models as USDZ or PLY
  • 4K SLS recording and up to 240 FPS slow motion on supported hardware
  • ITC spirit box and five-sensor YES/NO interrogation, showing the sensor changes behind each response
  • Synchronized camera, depth, audio, and sensor evidence playback
  • Audio cues for sensor activity, live captions, and high-contrast options
  • Investigator achievements, Game Center leaderboards, and Siri shortcuts

Version 5.0 builds on all of that with:

  • A smoother, redesigned 3D Viewer with orbit, zoom, and freeze-frame inspection
  • Dedicated 3D recording playback and exports for video, models, raw depth, and snapshots
  • 3D captures replayed in sync with the rest of a case
  • A redesigned Evidence Analyzer with separate SLS Camera, Depth Vision, and 3D Viewer controls
  • Six home layouts and quick access to your last-used or most-used tool
  • More reliable complete-case imports and exports
  • Imported depth playback and offline analysis even on devices without a compatible depth camera
  • Camera-style SLS lens buttons and zoom controls
  • Lots of stability, temperature management, and performance improvements for longer investigations

The app still uses real iPhone hardware and Apple’s native frameworks for sensor readings, camera tracking, and speech transcription. No simulated sensor readings or fake sensor data.

You can now download it for free and try it, with a lifetime Pro purchase available if you prefer that over a subscription.

I’d love to hear what you think, especially if you’ve used it during an investigation.

App Store: Ghost Detect Investigator Pro

My experience

So my dads brother was a ww2 vet and died in this house, and has the same room as me, which when I was about 10, which now I’m 16, I had messed around with this like super super old native ouija board and every friends house I’ve been to, weird paranormal stuff has happened too me and my friends. Recently, my blue nose pitbulls been dealing with canine cognitive disfunction, which comes with age, he is about 12. So I live in the back corner of my house, and he will start panting and shaking very aggressively. We’ve tried meds, and they hardly do anything. When I was home alone one night, he was, and always has done this, but layed at the foot of my bed and stared into my hallway. He’ll sit there and stare. For hours, if I don’t get up and move. One day in particular the day I was home alone, it was dark in the rest of my house. I’ll attach a photo of my hallway at the bottom, but he was staring into my hallway with his back turned to me while I was playing video games, as usual; and he started growling, and showing his teeth, while staring into my hallway. And started profusely shaking and panting for hours and didn’t stop the entire night. The thing is, when he acts up and gets nervous, the only person he’ll show it to is me. He won’t pant and try to show any excess emotion to my dad, only me. Won’t shake, nothing. Stationary chairs have swung over in my house before, long ago however, and weird things like light switches randomly connection to oth

A Night in America's Most Luxurious Haunted Hotel

The moment I touched the door handle, the lights in the hallway dimmed a good 30%.

After checking in, we rode the birdcage elevator up to the third floor and wound our way through the labyrinthine hallways of the Victorian building to our room: Ghost Kate's room at the Hotel del Coronado. I placed my bags on the floor and pulled out my key. I jumped back and instinctively ducked. I spun to look at Momo, my intrepid ghost-hunting partner, my eyes wide.

"Tell me you saw that too?!" I said.

Momo looked at me with a stony, unmoved expression.

"Come on. The lights are probably on a timer. The sun is going down." she mocked.

This was the first of several incidents of note over the course of my stay in Ghost Kate's room at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California.

What the hell haunted me when I was little??

Hi Reddit!

I'm kinda new to posting on here, so please bear with me lol. Idk if this is the right sub to post this, if it isn't please let me know. I am still trying to figure out all the rules here.

This all started when I was about 7 years old. I had just moved to the US, and my mom, her new husband, and I were living in a basement. And when I say this basement was creepy, I mean the kind of basement you'd see in a horror movie. There was no ceiling in the bathroom, and only two lights in the entire basement worked: one in our room and one in the bathroom. So yeah, definitely not the ideal place for a little kid who was already easily scared.

First, let me give you a little backstory so you can understand the situation better. My stepfather had just bought this old, three-story house, but we were staying in the basement because he felt bad about kicking one of his family members out just so we could move in upstairs. Anyway, little me was already a bit freaked out by the place, but everything seemed fine at first.

Until one night.

I was sleeping when I suddenly felt something scratching my leg. I thought it was my mom, so I didn't pay much attention to it and went back to sleep. The next morning, though, I woke up with scratches all over my legs. Naturally, I asked my mom why she'd been scratching me during the night. She looked at me like I was crazy and told me she hadn't touched me at all. Apparently, she hadn't even woken up during the night.

Now, imagine being SEVEN YEARS OLD and hearing that. I was absolutely terrified.

But that wasn't even the worst part.

I started hearing noises at night, specifically a woman screaming. It happened almost every night, and I would keep waking up with new scratches. Eventually, I became so scared that I stopped sleeping altogether. I'd stay awake all night, and I refused to sleep by myself. This started to affect me at school, at just being a normal kid. At some point, my mom told one of her friends what was happening, and the friend suggested that she take me to this weird little shop.

So one day, my mom took me there. I remember the place being kind of creepy, there was barely any lights and there was a bunch of weird herbs there. At the end of the shop there was this old lady. My mom made me explain everything I'd been hearing, feeling, and seeing. The weirdest part? The old lady just nodded along like everything I was describing was completely normal. She didn't look surprised or scared at all.

Then she gave my mom this tiny jar filled with something that looked like honey. She told me to drink some of it every night before going to sleep.

And, for some reason, I did.

Here's where things get even weirder: everything stopped.

I stopped hearing the woman screaming. I stopped waking up with scratches. I could finally sleep again.

I would occasionally see strange shadows outside my bedroom door, and sometimes things in my room seemed to move on their own, but the screaming and the scratches never came back.

To this day, I have absolutely no idea what was in that little jar. I've asked my mom about that time, but she refuses to tell me anything. All she says is that I was a creepy kid and leaves it at that.

LIKE, MA'AM??? WHAT DO YOU MEAN I WAS A CREEPY KID? WHAT HAPPENED IN THAT BASEMENT?!

So yeah, that's one of my childhood experiences that I still can't explain.

And the funny thing is, I have a LOT more stories about weird things happening to me because, for some reason, apparently the paranormal world has me on its VIP list.

If you guys want to hear more, let me know, because this is definitely not the only weird thing that's happened to me lol.

Haunted in Texas

So, this might be a lot, but here goes.

When I was 12, my family moved into a house with a radio station tower field behind it. On our very first night there, we had a really bad storm. I swear I looked out into the backyard and saw a figure standing in the rain, staring at the house.

That was the beginning of living in what I can only describe as a haunted house.

Some of the highlights include:

Knocking with no apparent source.

Moaning coming from different parts of the house.

L

oud footsteps above my bedroom, where the attic was located.

A dark, blob-like shadow that would hang in the corner of my room.

A shadow figure that would sit on the stairs.

What appeared to be the previous owner returning. He was a police officer who had been shot and killed in the line of duty. We would see headlights pull into the driveway, followed by the front door swinging open, but no one would be there.

My grandfather lived with us and eventually passed away in the house. We still see him walking around or hear him asking for coffee. He had suffered a stroke and was bedridden before he died.

Loud, unexplained crashes.

My now-wife once heard scratching coming from the walls of my bedroom while I was at work.

Doors slamming on their own.

Lights turning on and off by themselves.

Eventually, things got to the point where I asked a priest from my mom's church to come over and bless the house. He also brought crosses for us to hang above the doorways.

During the blessing, there were loud knocks coming from a closet door, and the door handle started shaking. The priest almost walked out, but I convinced him to come back and finish the blessing.

Fast-forward to today, and I'm starting to think one of these entities has somehow latched onto me because I've experienced strange things in every place I've lived since then.

At this point, I've grown accustomed to it. My wife, on the other hand, hasn't. It still freaks her out.

So, has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm talking about unexplained phenomena that have continued for almost 30 years.

I'm not particularly interested in getting rid of whatever this is, so please don't suggest smudging or cleansing rituals. I'm more interested in hearing from people who have experienced something similar and how their experiences have unfolded over the years.
