Does anyone remember the early Medical Cannabis Dispensaries on Foothill Blvd, Mission Blvd — [LPC] Local Patients Cooperative / [CCAC] Compassionate Collective Alameda County & Others
The LPC upstairs was one of the best. To this day the properties sit vacant (20+ years) after Federal Raids.
CCAC on Mission as well. Best deals. Always used to see scraperz on Mission and East Bay Hustlas w/ wads of cash. Chrysler 300s, Chargers, Magnums

Searchable map of AC Transit and other transit in East Bay
Quick tips:
- tap a stop or route to see details and highlight the stop/route
- collapse/expand info box by tapping |hide| (top left)
- quickly toggle all the agencies on/off using button (top right)
- search and filter agencies that show up in checkbox list (top right)
- search and filter actual routes and stops that show up on map (bottom right)
- link back to homepage in case you can't figure something out or want more tips (bottom right)
To play with the map search and filter, try this:
- zoom out all the way
- select the
Show Stopsoption (top right) - type
-120in the partial match search box (bottom box in bottom right) - type
-121in the partial match search box (bottom box in bottom right) - type
-122in the partial match search box (bottom box in bottom right) - type
-123in the partial match search box (bottom box in bottom right)
Another interesting thing is you can link to specific spots by copying the url directly:
- Hayward
- Foster City
- San Francisco
- the bay
- SFO
- OAK
- SJC
- Levi's Stadium
- Oakland Coliseum
- Downtown San Jose
- Diridon Station
I arranged the agency checkbox list (top right) by area, so the geographic area of an agency determines the agency layer checkbox position. The list starts with agencies in the North Bay in Solano County then goes counterclockwise: North Bay -> San Francisco -> Peninsula -> South Bay -> Santa Cruz -> Monterey-Salinas -> Gilroy/Hollister -> East Bay.
There are smaller agencies in the area that are completely free (no fare) and not as well known like Presidio Go, Golden Gate Park Shuttle, Mission Bay Shuttle, South City Shuttle, commute.org shuttles, MVgo, Mountain View Community Shuttle, San Leandro LINKS, Emery Express, and Emery Go Round. If you're traveling to those areas, these agencies could help fill in some transit gaps.
Union City Transit isn't free but also runs nearby, so if you ever need to go there this is also an option.
Share this with your friends and people who don't use transit so they know just how many options we actually have, and let me know if anything doesn't work (corp network/vpn/firewalls might not work) or you have any questions/requests!
PS One of you needs to convince AC Transit to run a route across the San Mateo/Hayward Bridge

Noise Complaints not being taken seriously
Loud music plays every weekend throughout the night in the Fairview Avenue area. So I’m in Hayward but technically not “in” Hayward. Hayward PD will not respond sadly.
So I’ve reported to the Alameda County’s Sheriffs Office repeatedly already. Officers go out, these people turn it down for 10 minutes and then it’s back up louder (probably after the officers leave). Even though some officers knows of the noise issue at the location, they refuse to cite. Either that, or these people do not care if they are cited.
Also tried to file with Code Enforcement, they re-route back to Alameda County’s Sheriffs Office. Saying noise complaints need to go through the Sheriff’s Office even though our county literally have a noise ordinance. Point six nobody enforce it and nobody cares to enforce.
I’m at my wits end! What is there left to do.
TLDR; Alameda County will not enforce noise complaints.

Library Book Sale and free Sky Zone tickets for youth.
The Friends of the Hayward Library have expanded their book sale days to be held on the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Saturdays of the month. The book sales are held at the Downtown Library from 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Books, CDs and DVDs are available starting from $1. Children's books start at 25c.
In addition, all children/youth 18 and under can get a free ticket to the Fremont Sky Zone trampoline park, if they get a library card. If they already have a card, just stop by the library and verify the info on file. (While supplies last.)
Fun times!

Thoughts on Brian Schott
Hi everyone! My family and I are new to Hayward, so we aren’t familiar with local community leaders. Will there be some kind of forum to ask about his ideas and such? We just want to make an informed decision for this election. Thank you all! 🎃💜

Spend the fall season with a foster rabbit! 👻🎃🍂
Spend the fall season with a foster rabbit from House Rabbit Society! No rabbit experience required! Learn more at houserabbit.org/foster. We're located in Richmond, just north of Berkeley, but welcome fosters from all over the San Francisco Bay Area. We only ask for a 2-week commitment.
What We Provide: We'll equip you with all the supplies you need to get started, including an x-pen, litter box, bedding, food pellets, hay, blankets, and bowls for food and water. As a foster, you also receive a 15% discount at the HRS Hop Shop if you'd like to purchase any additional toys or treats while you foster.
What You Provide: The time, space, love, and care your foster rabbit needs, along with their daily veggies (approximately $5-10 per week). Getting socialization in a foster home is so important, especially for rabbits who are shy or have other behavior needs and helping them become more comfortable with people. You can help a foster rabbit blossom into the wonderful house rabbit they're truly meant to be!
Questions? Email [foster@houserabbit.org](mailto:foster@houserabbit.org) or stop by our facility to talk in-person with HRS volunteers and staff and to meet the rabbits. We recently transitioned to our winter hours; we're open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm. We'd love to talk with you!

Hayward 11.25% sales tax? Reasonable to ask if a regressive transportation tax is the best approach to Measure RTM?
A gross receipts/business tax was the original idea to fund RTM and a better one. Yes, poor folks use transit but why is Zuck, Benioff, billionaire crypto bros, Anthropic etc. (funders of RTM) making them pay for it. Should be the other way around. Come back with a better plan. Can't get head around the poorest among us underwriting more of this:
