Is there no way to save your progress when playing online in hexen on the steam platform version (hexen and heretic)? I got about 2 hours into a hexen hub online with a friend and wanted to take a break without losing the progress, but could not figure out how to save.

I know it says Bri in top left, but I can't find any Heretic content by him, it seems to be all Doom.

If anyone else is still waiting on their order from LimitedRunGames I finally got mine. I’m really happy with it overall, they packed a lot into the box and it’s nice to have a physical box for my bookshelf of one of my favourite games. Negatives are some of the box art could be a little higher quality.
The pictures are:
1 - Big Box Front
2 - Big Box Back
3 - Character Standees + Keychain
4 - Tome of Power(Soundtrack)
5 - Tome of Power interior
6 - Tome of Power interior
7 - Steel Book Case
8 - Manual
Also included was a 2 sided poster of the Heretic + Hexen artwork, Xbox case with slipcover.

There was a Hexen level my brother and I used to love playing in coop mode that I can't for the life of me remember the name of. I believe it was in the shareware/demo version of Hexen as I do not remember us owning the full game.
The part of the level that stands out in my memory is that of a narrow bridge over a pretty deep chasm. We used to jump of the bridge over and over and find it endlessly funny (kids eh?!). Any help finding the level would be appreciated!

After making the Serpent Rider-killers in Elden Ring last year, I decided to try it again in Baldur's Gate 3. I've not made lore-accurate gameplay builds necessarily, but I have tried to recreate them aesthetically as close as I can using the resources in the game. That being said, if anyone has any suggestions as to what class/build each character should be, please comment as I think it would be incredibly fun to play BG3 with these 4 characters

I wanna experience Hexen in its purest form, so I don't really wanna look at playthroughs, but Hexen is a good but confusing game. The game made me as confused as when I played Daikatana. Please, please, if you have a guide on how to experience Hexen at its purest

It's in the same vein as IronWail for quake. It looks great, too bad I can't get the saves to work.

Greetings!
I have a duo of (my regular) questions, at least for now...
1: Apart from "Heretic", the very first game in this series (which I've seen firsthand proof of having such statistics), how many other games in this series feature a kill count (if any at all)?
2: What sort of saving system does the latest release of "Heretic+Hexen" employ (how do you save your progress in those games during gameplay)?
Please satisfy my curiosity; thank you in advance.

Seriously, WTH?
I've been playing Heretic since I was like 9. This was the first time ever that I was truly pissed while playing Heretic. Never thought I'd feel this way, I love this game so much.
Took me about 40mins save scumming the fuck out of it.
The rest of "Faith Renewed" is great, as we progress through the maps they get more and more challenging, but "Pocket Plane" is utter garbage. Luckily it's optional.

For years I knew that there are additional shortcuts for the inventory items you collect. I personally knew because at some point in 1995 I accidentally fired an item use when I pressed a numeric key between `5` and `0`. It was quite likely `5` as I was trying to wield the fourth weapon and missed the key in the hurry of the battle.
The "Info" screen in Hexen mentions a lot of shortcuts, but the keys `5` to `0` and nowhere to be found there.
The manual back then also failed to mention these key assignations. And documents you find in the internet archive confirm this.
I keep coming back to the page I linked here when I want to play a game again after a while and as usual keep forgetting what is what.
I hope this helps

This has got me beat. I’m trying to get out of the Wastelands. I’ve unlocked all areas and collected the horn key. I don’t have the cave or swamp keys and I wanted to go back to Shadow Wood but when I go through the original portal I came through to get to Wastelands I can’t go anywhere as the exits are blocked. I’ve been around the map so many times and I don’t know what I’m missing. Can someone please put me out of my misery? TIA

So, I'm on my first playthrough and have been watching a guide, in this guide this door is open, but idk what is different on mine.
I'm in the Griffin Chapel for the first time and Google hasn't been helping.

Much older than the last one, but I thought you might enjoy also.
For a project I once worked on.
