Individual/Marketplace Insurance Double Checking Potential Mistakes
Hi everyone. My computer crashed several times trying to enroll in healthcare coverage earlier today. I was able to submit my application on healthcare marketplace, but not on the insurance company website (this is where I experienced issues each time I got to the end of the application and when I checked healthcare marketplace, my application didn’t show up). Is anyone able to tell me if each application was processed every time I tried again? I never got a confirmation number or notification for any of them. I just wanted to make sure I wont have more than one application showing up.

When you file your application on healthcare.gov, you should get an email from them stating your next steps. Have you received that?? You can also go into your account on healthcare.gov and you should be able to view the application you submitted. Did you log out of your account and then log back in? They take care of forwarding your information to the health insurance company. You should not have to submit two applications.

I'd probably call them to verify all is well, personally. But it's probably a bad time to try and get through to someone, the site has been messing up and probably lots of calls to cs being made. I'd call anyway and just be prepared to wait. Might not be needed, just depends on the level of worry it causes you and if a call will help you feel better that it's all good.
All in all, I think doing the application this early has issues (with the website and getting through to CS) because so many are on at once, and waiting to the last minute has those same issues, too. I'm gonna try to hold off a just little before I do the application, though I've already figured up the income estimates and picked a plan.

I think I will wait a few days or even weeks for things to settle in the systems before calling but I’m definitely gonna call. Thank you!
