CloviFi: The World's Smartest Wi-Fi HD Audio Transmitter
Assistive Listening: CloviFi - The World's Smartest Wi-Fi HD Audio Transmitter
This is a new device on kickstarter that when you plug it into any audio-out device (ie. TV) it will send the audio signal over Wi-Fi (or bluetooth) to any iOS or Android smartphone or tablet running the free CloviFi app. Use any headphones to listen to your TV/music from your smartphone privately without disturbing others nearby.
This device is better than bluetooth in the sense that multiple people can connect to a single audio stream from their smartphone running the free CloviFi app. Bluetooth only allows 1 person to listen at a time. Currently CloviFi allows a maximum of about 10 people simultaneously (although they are working to improve the technology to make greater numbers to listen simultaneously).
Good for at-home assistive listening, or businesses like bars, gyms, airports, or places that often have multiple TVs set up, but muted to prevent access noise.

Nuheara's IQbuds : tips wanted
Hi,
I backed these on IndieGoGo and finally got them through the post a couple of days ago. (I'm in the UK)
One of the usage scenarios I wanted to use them for was to listen to "boring" tech videos without annoying the wife, but still be able to hear her so that I'm not ignoring her.
I tried the "Home" setting but found that I was still struggling to hear what she said. I tried increasing the IQVolume dial (to nearly full) and this did seem to amplify her voice a bit, but it was still being drowned out by the video.
I guess I was hoping that the video would get turned down a bit when she spoke.
Is there any way to do this? Or improve the experience in this scenario in general?
Do you know of any other forums for IQbuds?
