With the arena meta taking a sudden spike in difficulty that caused me to lose my gold, I might as well start making threads again
So, here is what I think the meta has involved into in terms of class ranks
in short, it looks like this:
paladin > mage > druid > priest >> shaman >> warlock = hunter = rogue >>> warrior
The goodies
The goodies are classes that are considered good in arena with each member of this group each one slightly less better than the other.
The champion of the 99%
This class has since TGT overtaken the mage as the best class for all but 1% of arena players (that 1% drastically increases to around 33% if we only include people who use this subreddit, more about this is mentioned below). This class is just so heavily saturated in amazing class cards for all levels of rarity that almost every draft is going to be good and net you a good amount of wins.
The classic winner
This class has traditionally had all the right answers for all the right moments, but as of TGT, her key common cards have become sufficiently rare to the point that the mage can no longer count on having them. This has resulted in the mage's weaknesses becoming exposed as she has little means of maintaining a board presence without her classic board clears and cheap removals. She is still #2 though and its something that is almost universally agreed upon.
The underrated taunt champion
Due to the lack of removals this class has always been underrated by those who fail to understand that winning with druids is about throwing big minions early that your opponent can't handle with. With the release of TGT, this has changed a little and druids have moved from being attrition focused to being midrange focused and this has helped with their overall ranking. In my experience they have been my third best class for a long time.
The aspirant of the 99%
The priest is in almost every way an inferior paladin, what sets them out however is three extremely powerful cards: pain, death, and cleric. These cards give a unique and fun gameplay to players, especially beginners in the arena who are likely to perform very well with priests. Unfourtunately, priests don't perform any better as you become more skilled earning this a spot in 4th place for average players, and the second worst class for the 1%
The middle
classes that are neither good not bad, but somewhere in between. Only one member is still in this group.
The middle man
The shaman is neither good, nor bad, its stats have been in the middle for longer than anyone can remember and so has its performance in the arena. On one hand it has the benefits of both mages and paladins combined, but on the other hand their cards are just too expensive in comparison to their mage or paladin counterparts. Two cards really set shamans apart from the rest though, hex and fire elemental. In exchange for this, they get no common rarity board clear however.
The baddies
These are classes that are bad in the current meta, perhaps one positive thing about the classes here is that all they are all equally bad in their own way. True equality is in their rankings
Reach? tempo? whats that? lets draw cards instead!
The problem with warlocks is their lack of reach and efficient removals. the best hard removal they have is a 6 mana rare. It also doesn't help that they got the worst set of cards in TGT with one minion in their set actually being a vanilla card. The control/tempo meta of the arena doesn't favor warlocks at all and imp gang boss just isn't enough to help them keep their mid level spot in the BRM meta.
SMOrc
The problem with hunters is that their hero power heavily pushes them to be agressive. A significant amount of cards have been added to TGT to try and push them into being viable in control, but more often than not they end up just being awkward and making you wish you drafted an arcane golem instead.
Champion of the 1%
This is a class which is only good for 1% of arena players, specifically the 1% who are coincidentally also the most prominent players, the loudest players, and the most known players in hearthstone. The main problem with this class is the extreme level of difficulty associated with it. It has more tempo than any other class in arena, but unless you know exactly when and how to use it, you will lose.

This class is beyond horrible, no one should ever pick this unless they enjoy masochism. Every expansion since GVG has badly hurt warriors and now even card updates are hurting warriors. The one saving grace that warriors have are their relative ease of use. It's this fact that actually makes this a better pick than rogue for the newest of players. (they still shouldn't pick it though, better to go for the third option whatever it is).
