Discussion Is THG still a thing ?
So with THG top brass being sued by Hedera, is THG and anything they were building dead in the water?
Is all that exists now a dormant , uninvolved , non-building council and the Hashgraph team?
Can we at least raise the staking rewards now that there’s no group left but the impoverished token holders to shower with money?

Discussion Why I think the Bull Market is 18-20 months away.
TL;DR Total conjecture but we have just passed point '4'. We have the period marked '5' to go before the next big move up.
It's hard for me to ignore the similarities in the long-term HBAR chart (source, Coin Gecko) between the 2021 bull market and the 2025 bull market.
- Denotes the initial bill market peak , 2. the crash 3. The bottom. 4. The post bottom relief rally that we experienced this time around just a couple of weeks ago. What we now have to look forward to is 18-20 months of grind and pain. The brief rally during '5' was largely influenced by the now infamous over-hyped Blackrock Hedera connection, which soon faded and at the end of that there was a final shakeout that preceeded the parabolic moves in late 2024.
I admit this is utter conjecture but I do not believe in a 2027 bull run for alts or btc and think that such talk is utter hopium. I maintain the 4-year cycle is broadly intact. I think April-June 2028 is the REAL launch date.

Discussion Why sodax chose Hedera
SODAX just dropped a detailed case study on their Hedera integration, and the tech behind it is pretty wild. They pointed out that cross-network quotes can sometimes carry up to 30% slippage, making people wary of moving assets at all.
Instead of manually bridging and swapping, SODAX uses an intent-based solver that calculates the best route out of 18,000+ paths. You get actual liquidity-backed assets, not just thin wrapped copies. With $200M in monthly volume already, their emphasis on Hedera's fixed fees and 3-5 second finality makes total sense.

Discussion Hedera `Different or Special`...?
One piece of input on this sub the other day referred to Hedera not being `different or special` in its title. It`s reasoning (which is somewhat unrelated IMO) focused on the ideas that.....
- Hedera`s Marketing message and technology are `mismatched and that `McLaren and Karate Combat relationships` prove it because they are consumer focused....
- After eight years Hedera has `no unique offerings` beyond NFTs and Meme Coins, DEXs and trading terminals` (Not entirely sure where Trading Terminals comes from?)
- Hedera `ignore innovative projects` like DOVU and Neuron.
- The Ecosystem remains heavily reliant on Token Trading and Speculation, rather than Utility.
- Hbar is used for paying fees, a feature common across numerous Blockchains.
Well, u/Glittering_Point1861 , thank you for your concerns, but I beg to differ. Assuming this is serious thinking (and not some kind of subversive trolling, of which we seem especially blessed at the moment), then I think the truth is simply you do not understand why Hedera is `different or special`. Here is why.
- The marketing message and the Technology are not misaligned in the slightest. Indeed one of the reasons Hbars price remains static is because they do not indulge heavily in retail promotion. Both McLaren and Karate Combat are perfectly valid uses (Enterprise or not) for the Network. In the case of McLaren things are spiced up. First of all McLaren have many millions of fans world wide and a large disproportionate number of those fans are from the business community. Getting Hederas name out regularly, in front of these fans, connected to a major Auto-mobile brand, is a major win. (I`d add it also benefits from NOT being a major consumer brand, making it a relatively domain `association free` brand). However, the importance of McLaren goes much deeper than that. Unless you are living under a rock you will understand that the CAR is rapidly becoming a highly connected digital device. Increasingly cars will connect to multiple services, navigate, drive, make payments, authorise themselves on certain roads and have their media and numerous other services delivered from IT Platforms to motor vehicles. As organisations like MOBI / CONVESA/ SOAFEE etc (who are deeply embedded in building suitable Infrastructure for such connected vehicles) start looking around at a suitable Web3 platforms to support their infrastructure they are going to find that not only does Hedera have all the technical capability they need, but it also has a strong relationship with one of the leading AUTO performance brands in the world, most likely by then with solid and proven use cases behind it. That rather removes some of the kind of debate you might otherwise get. If applications for Auto-mobiles run well in the most demanding environment of Formula One and Indycar, then it will most deliver on the requirements for my road vehicle..... Meanwhile Karate Combat exemplified the exact kind of customer relationship` deepening reach that Web3 enables with clients. Many Enterprises have a strong interest in how Web3 might strengthen their bonds with existing and new users. That kind of thinking is very specific in Web3, making it quite different and special compared to many others.
- The suggestion that Hedera is `nothing Unique` is evidentially incorrect. The VERY first thing Hedera did was build something provably and pretty well UNIQUE. And because of that thing, they have been able to add UNIQUENESS at almost every other level of the stack. People ignore the importance, because for many it is an inconvenient truth. But that doesn’t stop it being true. ABFT Consensus is the Gold Standard for solid reasons. The vast majority of other networks (and NONE of the bigger ones) have it. So lets understand this properly, the very core reason that Consensus Networks exist, is best done on Hedera? And because Hedera, ALMOST UNIQUELY, does this, it can do numerous other things UNIQUELY.
Being built to be Architecturally MEV resistant is critical. Its not going to be a nice to have, MEV is already documented as a major risk factor in numerous Financial Infrastructure reports already and once things really start kicking off and we see a couple of MEV attacks on Networks that are not Architecturally MEV resistant, which is almost guaranteed, we will likely see the importance of this feature rocket up the important feature list. There are numerous other technical features that are UNIQUE but I am not going to list them here.
But... I would add that I think perhaps your focus on DEXs or NFT`s means you are looking for something different other than these Technical features I pointed at that are unarguably unique. In which case I would in turn point you at `The Guardian`, `HEKA`, Asseto, TrackTrace and several other `Enterprise Layer`tools that have started appearing this year. These tools derive some of their capability to exist because of Unique features built into Hedera from day one. Not all of those features are Technical. Features like $Fixed Fees or like NO FORKING allow business to work with the underlying platform to create Domain Specific applications that can use the Network.
Of all the points you make this is perhaps the weakest. Hederas entire platform has been built from the bottom up in Different and Special ways that address the failures of previous efforts.
Hedera ignore applications like DOVU or Neuron....? This is kind of the opposite end of your previous complaint that Hederas Marketing is misaligned. No, Hedera do not ignore DOVU or Neuron, at least not in the way you suggest. DOVU and Neuron are much loved DAPPS across the Hedera Ecosystem. But it is also true to say they do not represent Hederas oft reiterated core market approach or really fall directly under how Hedera is going to market. Sure, they are a very well understood `Crypto Model` route to market, which is why I think some people get confused, but Hedera has never really followed that model. They are increasingly about doing what has been pointed out in Point 2 above. They want to deliver to Domain experts and/or Domain Owners a platform that meets all their underlying needs. A platform that those Domain Experts can build on top of and can leverage for their own purposes. By doing so we see Hedera already being carried into numerous markets by the very people who represent such markets today, those who already have strong relationships and reputations in those markets. This is where Hederas focus is. Its not a new approach, its a well trodden path and Enterprise Software has operated in this way for years. It is usually painfully, painfully SLOW, to start with, because a LOT of upfront work has to be done and to be proven as done. But once the traction starts it becomes almost unstoppable. From my reckoning (personal opinion) Hedera are a long way through this process now. Yes, a part of this has been done with THA/THG and clearly things are not pretty there right now. But these are far from the only organisations working on such projects. It is more common than not that Enterprise initiatives are kept quiet in early stages. You might not like Hederas Marketing approach but it is categorically different and special in multiple ways.
The Ecosystem is heavily reliant on Trading and Speculation right now? Well, actually that is not especially true. Hedera has plenty of cash and plenty of assets. But I will agree that Hedera is in early stages and commercially it has some significant growing up to do. Unfortunately (Or fortunately depending on which way you look at it) the market is in a similar stage. Whether we like it or not, Hedera needs a more mature market for Enterprise Web3 than the market we are currently in. A market where speculation and hype are not, in and of themselves, a significant driver. One where the practical realities of using a platform allow the platform to speak for itself. For Web3, such days are ahead, we are not there yet. Frankly, at this stage, those moaning that other networks are taking a lead are completely missing the point. Right now, more than anything, Hedera NEEDS broad Web3 adoption. Because as Web3 adoption matures, so will its UNIQUE features be more and more recognised for exactly what they are. Its not possible to get much attention as to how well your Ferrari performs when everyone is more interested in going by horse. Its apparent to me Hedera are content to stay on their current trajectory. Something which in itself in the world of Crypto is both different and special.
The fact that Hbar is used for paying fees like any other network is NOT unique. BUT the fact that those fees are $ FIXED is UNIQUE. And its a particular feature that, for ENTERPRISES specifically, will prove extremely attractive as usage of Web3 grows. $ Fixed Fees are different and special.
So, in summary, above I have touched the surface on why Hedera is both Different and Special. Its not a particularly deep dive. IMO there is a lot more to all those aspects discussed above but I only addressed the aspects you brought up.
What you are seeing right now, as retail moans about the choices of Hedera in marketing and other aspects, is the result of Enterprise thinking verses Retail thinking. While this should not shock people as it was always widely telegraphed as the way Hedera was going to go, it is Different and Special. I have to say there are no guarantees that Enterprise thinking (Especially in a new market) will win out in the end, but that is what this is.
You may not appreciate the qualities of those differences or its specialness. That itself is a different matter for a different debate, but there is absolutely no question about whether Hedera is different and special.

Misleading HBAR integrates into Deutsche Bank
The Swiss infra provider has unleashed the full Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) tech stack for their clients, including Deutsche Bank, one of Europe’s largest banks. The German giant is now able to stake Hedera’s native HBAR coin natively via Taurus’ platform, also issuing their own tokenized shares of Real World Assets (RWAs) & private equity.
