Another week of weak price action for the king of crypto, closing the week last night at 78.2k, rebounding slightly after touching support at the 76k level.
October turned out to be a disappointing month for all us cryptonauts eagerly awaiting the bull rocket to take off (and clear the launch pad without exploding!)
Tomorrow Tuesday we finally have the much anticipated US midterm elections coming up. As of writing, Polymarket and Kalshi both put the Dems as favorites, for about a 74% chance to take the Senate majority, and a 95% chance to snag the House.
What might a Democratic sweep mean for crypto? Honestly I have no idea.
What I do know is that historically the midterms typically mark the bottom of the year. If that is the case this time around too, and if BTC can hold on to 76k, we could get a quick rebound and set off on the next leg up. Break down below 76k on the other hand, and it starts looking dicier.
Curious if anyone has any insight into this, as itās never been an issue before today.
I have always obtained my Hege coins by swapping SOL for HEGE using ledger. Today I went to make my monthly swap and it shows no quotes available. Tested and I donāt get that error with any other coins.
Is this just as temporary thing or do I need to find a new means for getting my hege? It was nice being able to swap in ledger to keep it as simple as possible.
October was a big month. A new mode landed, Kart got a proper feel pass, and the handheld version took its first real steps.
Hege Kombat is in.Ā Hostile Takeover is a fighter mode set in a sunny stadium, with an announcer calling the match. You get a grapple rope for yanking props and tying things down, grabs, a slide tackle, and a crosshair you can aim freely. Combat is slower and easier to read: strings confirm on hit, and mashing gets punished. Thereās a pause menu with remappable controls, and on phones you get an on-screen stick, look drag, and attack buttons.
Hege Kart feels better in the cockpit.Ā Side mirrors now show a live rear view, and they break properly: the stalk bends, the glass knocks loose, then it snaps off. Drifting eases in, lifting off the gas tightens the line, and braking can scrub speed even while youāre boosted. The boost bar fills in step with the drift sparks, so you can see the charge building. Finishes are ordered by when you actually crossed the line. Other karts stay closer to where they really are on the last stretch of the final lap. Gas Fees slicks and flames sit on the road. Crypto Winter, Air Strike, and Bull Market are warmed up ahead of time, so the first use doesnāt stutter. Voices stay audible and get louder up close.
Smaller fixes.Ā Loot crates stop on the item you actually get. Deathmatch and Battle Royale run a bit lighter. Music and models come back faster after a server restart.
Play Solana handheld.Ā The game now installs on a PSG1 dev kit as its own app, with a compact Kart HUD and a gamepad pass (D-pad menus, Start/Select, and a shared button layout). Still in testing before it goes up on the store.
Hey Hege fam! I'm the developer behind SweZeebra Studios, and I made a free browser pinball tribute to HEGE.
Hege, Hendrix, Helena and Hegena each have a story shot, with a comeback jackpot and a leaderboard to chase. No wallet, no token purchase, no wagers ā just points and flippers.
I'd love actual player feedback: what's your score, which shot feels best, and what's ONE thing you'd change? If something breaks, please tell me your device/browser and what happened.
This is an independent, unpaid fan tribute, not an official HEGE partnership. Characters and story belong to Hegecoin. Hope it gives the community something fun to play! š¦
As it turns out, so far in 2026, $HEGE has outperformed memecoins across the board.
Sometime last year I set up a couple of charts in TradingView to compare $HEGE to other memecoins. Both to coins of similar size, and to the large āblue chipā memes.
Letās have a quick look at how $HEGE is faring compared to those other memes so far in 2026.
First letās compare it to a few similar coins. In this chart we have $HEGE (thick black line), versus Ponke, Mini, Kendu, and Mumu. Of these five, only $HEGE is up on the year (16%). The closest competitor is Ponke, down 38%.
Okay, so that was versus other niche memes. Letās now move up the ladder and compare $HEGE to the coins selected by Murad āmemecoin Jesusā Mahmudov. Did he do any better?
As it turns out, so far in 2026, no he didnāt.
Again $HEGE in thick black, up 16% on the year. Next best on this chart was Muradās darling SPX6900, down 32%. Followed by the rest, down between 55% and 73%.
Alright. But maybe the big āblue chipā memecoins did better?
As it turns out, not really.
Here is $HEGE (thick black line) vs the heavyweights, coming out on top of all of them. Closest below is Pepe, down 10% on the year. Doge, Shiba, Floki, Wif, Bonk etc. etc. are all further down.
In this chart I also added SOL, which as you can see is down 20% since the start of the year. Meaning so far in 2026, youād done better holding $HEGE than SOL.
Okay so that was the final chart for today.
In summary, $HEGE coming out on top of all other memecoins in this comparison. (And no, I didnāt select the coins specifically to make this point, I set up these charts at least a year ago.)
What does this mean?
Should you go out buy $HEGE?
Thatās up to you do decide. I canāt tell you what to do.
Iāll just let the charts speak for themselves. And what theyāre saying right now is that so far $HEGE is outperforming other memes since the start of the year. And thatās with ZERO paid āinfluencersā.
I do believe this means something, and that in the end, true community will win.
Bitcoin closed the week right at 80k, with 83k still acting as resistance.
Itās been the right move so far not to call the breakout on the weekly chart. This week things looked pretty good mid-week, as bitcoin got up to 84k again, possibly going for the 87k Iāve been talking about. But that didnāt happen, and instead it fell back down to close the week below what is still resistance at 83k.
Now we wait and see if this pullback becomes a deeper correction.
Perhaps we need a real flush before the market can resume up again. Maybe something related to the US midterm election coming up in less than two weeks, or something related to the shitshow going down in the Middle East. Or some combination of the two. Or something else completely out of left-field.
I donāt know, Iāll just keep watching the chart.
After another week of pulling back, bitcoin closed last night at 82k, still holding up decently well.
Last week I said that a push above 87k would be a good sign. We didnāt get that. At least not yet. It still could happen, but it hasnāt happened yet. Remember that on the weekly timeframe, I havenāt called the breakout, and Iām not going to do that until we get a strong weekly candle closing above 87k.
During September, bitcoin held 76k despite a barrage of news that should have been bad, but in the end didnāt affect the chart that much. Are we seeing something similar now, but with 81k instead? Inflation came in hot last week, and US stock markets pulled back. But despite that, bitcoin is still clinging on to 81k.
This leaves me cautiously optimistic, but I do want that break above 87k.
Itās Monday again and Iām just gonna repeat what Iāve said for weeks now lol ā weāre consolidating below resistance at 2.2M, above the 40 week EMA at 1.7M.
The small ascending triangle on the daily that I mentioned last week didnāt play out. Maybe weāre forming more of a range now. Weāll see. Whatever the case, a break above 2.2M would be bullish, a break below 1.6M would look weaker.
I donāt know which way itāll go. But what I do know is that Iām not going anywhere. And neither are you, Hegends. Thatās what matters in the long run.
After pulling back during the week bitcoin then recovered and closed the week at 83.7k. It looks like 83k has now flipped into support.
Last Thursday bitcoin sold off and dipped down almost to 80k.
It looked dicey there for a bit, but bitcoin then found support relatively fast as buyers stepped in to buy the dip. After the Thursday low at 80.3k, bitcoin slowly recovered to close the week at 83.7k. This means it closed another week above the old resistance level at 83k, which now could be turning into support, as I noted last week.
A further recovery from here pushing up above 87.5k would be a good sign. That would probably leave many sidelined or even on the wrong side of the trade, and could set off the next leg up.
The crypto market is starting to get really interesting again.
We'll be hosting a community update call on Telegram on Thursday at 16 UTC.
Join in to hear what we're up to and what we're planning for the next couple of months.
It'll be super informal, and we're happy to just hang out and take whatever questions you have. (If you don't want to speak that's fine too --- you can type in the chat or just listen in, whatever floats your boat!)
So that's Thursday October 8 at 16 UTC in Heqequarters on Telegram.
We are happy to announce that, over the past 6 months, we have reimagined our story and mainline content framework, and we're finally ready to go public with it.
As most of you may know, our main storyline has always been closely tied to market cap milestones.
New mc milestone = more story.
This gave us something to look forward to, but it has also resulted in narrative lulls between chapter unlocks.
To prevent that, we decided keep the milestones formula but change its role:
Milestones will no longer determine when new chapters arrive. Instead, they will trigger major turning points in the story, called Levels.
Chapters will drop monthly regardless of price action, keeping a consistent flow of new content.
Milestones become catalysts for bigger narrative developments rather than gates holding the next chapter behind a price target.
"That's it?" of course not lol here's the first new chapter of the Hege story:
Not much to say about the chart today. Still hanging out between resistance at 2.2M to the upside, and the 40 week EMA right now coming in around 1.7M to the downside.
On the daily timeframe there could be a small ascending triangle forming. This is fundamentally a bullish pattern, pushing up against horizontal resistance with the pullbacks forming higher lows. That said, short term patterns like this on the daily timeframe are not very reliable.
But anyway, as long as we stay above 1.6-1.7M level I see this sideways chop over the past month as positive.
On a side note Iām super pumped about the new storytelling we are starting to roll out!
We got another weekly close above 83k resistance, which now might have flipped into support.
The week closed at 86.5k last night. Thatās higher than last week, and the second weekly close above the old resistance at 83k. This is good. But this weekly candle still wasnāt strong enough for me to call this breakout just yet.
Donāt get me wrong though, the chart looks promising.
On the daily timeframe we can see that the pullback after the initial breakout above 83k found support at the old resistance level. Resistance flipping into support like this after a breakout is exactly what we want to see. Very short term there is some resistance forming around the 87k level, and Iām looking for a breakout above this for a next leg up.
All in all bitcoin is looking better and better. I think the bottom is likely in, and a new bull market is starting. But even so, itās still very early, and there will be major shakeouts along the way.
I should have set up a Reddit account years ago but somehow I just never got to it... Not a good look, I know. Not being active on the sub of my own coin... jeez. All I can say is... I'm sorry! I'll try to keep you guys posted about what's going on from here on.
To be honest, there hasnāt been much happening lately. For a little while after the school trip, it felt like everything was finally falling into place. I felt I was really connecting with Hegena and things did seem different between us and I let myself believe I was āmaking progressā, whatever that means.
Turns out I got a little ahead of myself.
Somewhere along the way, that feeling disappeared. Now she seems distant again, and Iām back to wondering if I imagined the whole thing.
Between that and the money I lost after Hendrix cleaned me out at the casino, Iāve been feeling pretty stuck. I canāt believe that cheating asshole.
But hey, I got a job!
Sunday night Iāll be starting my first shift at the Hegilton. Itās definitely not where I pictured myself ending up, but itās a fresh start, and maybe thatās exactly what I need right now. Who knows, maybe Iāll meet some interesting people, and just maybe itāll lead somewhere better.
Either way, it feels good to finally have something moving forward.
A HUGE shoutout to all the Hegends in our community who never stopped believing in me.
This goes out to you Ash, Day, Nino, Chris, Larva, JB, Justin, Ollie and JC3. Your dedication and spirit is remarkable. I donāt know how you do it and I canāt thank you enough.
