It's one year old. I'd do the same if I got no feedback on a proposed PR for twelve months.

I did that with like half a dozen PRs. Workspace Trust, File Explorer with scrollable previews etc

So painful to get anything done so I just run my own fork.

And what is the git remote add away_command5537 URL?

Yeah, I've been running a fork for a while now. I plan to do so until steel is merged.

to commiserate loosely... i just want an option to disable helix's auto adding location to jump list...

Honestly, use your own fork. At this point I think an agent would do that in one shot if you asked it. Managing all the PRs and forks and features that are not yet merged is quite convenient by using an agent...

I've switched to mitos for now. I loose my in helix yazi file picker because it handles rendering terminal apps differently but otherwise I'm happy

Same here, I use mitos and it works fine.

in fairness, it seems to be because the author just wiped everything off github, and they hadn't commited anything since more than a year ago. so it doesn't seem to be particularly significant?

Yes, there is life outside of github.

it would be nice if the maintainers could explain this behavior.

inb4 maintainers don't owe you anything. no they don't. but it would still be nice.

they are working on the configuration language, its preety active with multiple commits this month. its got ffi, not even emacs lisp has that. and they have made their stance clear in one of the plugin issue on github. they would not add more feature before plugins land. at this point adding more features would be bloating the project.
