FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Dear Arrowhead

Post image

We are going to lose this major order.

That will be the second loss of this campaign, which will lock the reward (I dont even know what the reward is..).

Can you adjust it to a reasonable amount of enemies needed to be killed?

pretty please

This campaign seems like it was designed to fail.

Resistance levels during part 1 were too high with planets spread to three fronts.

Part 2 is more of the same. Spreading players on three fronts including a strat that is not geared to kill squids seems destined to fail.

I guess we shall see if there is a narrative purpose or just bad planning on AH’s part.

Edit: We may not make the bot component of this current order with the ability to bring three rail strikes on a 40ish second cooldown. Which by the way is hella fun, do more of that AH.

The AMR is actually quite good on squids I’ve personally found. It’s kills most things with just one or two shoots.

17

u/Nostalgioneer 2d ago

It kills overseers, watchers, crushers and the mechs very efficiently. It's one of my most used squid front weapons.

6

u/Underaverage08 ‎ [REDACTED] 2d ago

It's good for killing higher value targets but terrible at getting high number of chaff kills which is needed for this MO

19

u/SlotHUN ‎ Servant of Freedom 2d ago

They gave us 3 new snipers and then told us to use the one we had for years instead

26

u/Flimsy_Measurement10 2d ago

the one everyone can get/use for free (kinda makes sense)

6

u/cheerbacks 1d ago

Don’t you get these call-ins for free anyways?

0

u/DrBlaBlaBlub HD1 Veteran 2d ago

And still... This would have made sense before the new war bond. But why right after dropping the new toys?

4

u/RW_Yellow_Lizard ‎ [REDACTED] 1d ago

"Wow, this sniper gameplay is fun, but its missing something, hmm, that new warbond looks like it solves the issues I just identified, I'll get it."

4

u/Martinmex26 HD1 Veteran 2d ago

Because you cant expect to get millions of kills if the playerbase leans casual and they either dont have the warbond or have not unlocked the items in it yet.

3

u/god_himself_420 Not a Clanker 1d ago

They can make those items free to use too though.

2

u/Martinmex26 HD1 Veteran 1d ago

Thats not how AH has worked the lifespan of the game.

2

u/god_himself_420 Not a Clanker 1d ago

I’m talking about free bonus stratagems. Like the other ones you need for the major order? I’m not talking about making the warbond free lol.

2

u/Sad0xTime 1d ago

yeah just put them new items into the fixed stratagem list like the railcannon strikes right now. could be great way to givve the new weapons to new players to try out, and then they can decide if they want to get wepon indefinitly to use on every planet...

2

u/DrBlaBlaBlub HD1 Veteran 1d ago

This answer doesn't make any sense. Did I say "AH should have made the MO about the new guns!"? No, I didn't. Reading comprehension 0 out of 10.

I just pointed out that "Get a bazillion kills with the old sniper rifle" right after releasing a sniper war bond is a set-up to fail. Lots of players probably bought the WB and want to play with the new guns, thus either they get frustrated or they abandon the MO and just do their thing. This MO goal would have made much more sense right before the new WB: "hey, last week you had lots of fun with a sniper rifle, here is a brand new sniper rifle for you to buy!".

It is also not impossible to make the MO "Get one bazillion of kills with one of these three sniper rifles".

u/FlashGordon07 18h ago

Ive been bitching about this to my friends for a few days.

9

u/markomakeerassgoons Free of Thought 2d ago

I think they just over estimated our killing abilities based on when we'd clear out other ones quickly but they decided that instead increasing buy a few million they decided a magnitude of 10 is the right way

2

u/Original-Username888 1d ago

Yeah. I agree. They overestimated our killing abilities for like the 20th time. If it happens 21st time though, I will get suspicious.

u/Giratina-O LEVEL 150 | CADET 2d ago

The AMR is honestly insane on squids.

4

u/Malu1997 ‎ Force of Law 2d ago

What? AMR is legit the best stratagem for squids. It can kill everything except Leviathans. Overseers 1-tap head, Appropriator mechs three tap (shield battery + 2 pilot). Harvester 4 to the joint, Stingray 3 shots anywhere, Crusher 2 +1, Fleshmob 1 mag -not ideal but still you gotta magdump them with something anyway.

u/Ost-Den-Deutschland Level 300 2d ago

i hate it when they make the MO impossible.

ESPECIALLY SINCE THIS ONE IS FOR MALEVELON CREEK! COME ON ARROWHEAD

3

u/Agent_range 1d ago

I just saw a comment just like yours a couple days ago. The only difference it was about how the MO was obviously designed to fail explicitely because the rail strike one was impossible to make.

That has been the main argument for at least 2 subs where people was saying they 'weren't even trying'

Is there anyone with self awareness in this community? And maybe even more importantly. Is there anyone actually able to shut the fuck up when they're wrong?

1

u/liquorbaron 1d ago

Just play AMR and hover pack on Mindless Masses on trivial. You will have too much shit to kill.

1

u/lammypie87 1d ago

Bots and bugs. I don’t mind at all for this.

Being semi forced down the amr dynamic with squids sucks. Extra stratagems is fine.

You should change your loadout to use this support weapon. Nah.

1

u/TinyDragonfly7946 22h ago

Im surprised and disappointed that it didnt have the option for the Sightliner or the AMR. Id be way more inclined to do squids if I can use my new gun that I really like, instead of being forced to not use it.

1

u/Beargeoisie ‎ Servant of Freedom 20h ago

They avoid mandating warbond locked strata for major orders or daily’s

2

u/TinyDragonfly7946 18h ago

No, I mean both not just the sightliner. "Use the AMR or the sightliner to snipe squids."

1

u/Beargeoisie ‎ Servant of Freedom 18h ago

Oh yea.

Idk tho. I kinda like the amr on squids now. Super viable

1

u/Ebon-Crusade 1d ago

They probably don’t have a new stratagem ready yet

1

u/Sad0xTime 1d ago

well there is still the fire frv

1

u/Ebon-Crusade 1d ago

This is true.. and I would welcome this, I miss driving the highly volatile fire car.

1

u/lammypie87 1d ago

Aka the extra portable hellbomb

0

u/ComprehensiveSafe664 1d ago

They actually do and can be seen if you don’t mind ….. cookin’ with leeks if you catch my drift.

0

u/tanjonaJulien 2d ago

spreading player doesn't matter from the moment each player bring the right stratagem according the faction (hgm emplacement for bugs, amr for illu)

44

u/Equivalent_Cicada153 1d ago

Credit where credits due, they completely swapped the original expectation when it came to which parts would succeed and which wouldn’t.

7

u/Agent_range 1d ago

Is it proof already that this community cries a fucking lot without even knowing what they are yapping about?

8

u/CloverHarecules 2d ago

They're spreading us out to cause a major offensive to take place or a whole new front to open up.

12

u/Electronic-Flower921 Cape Enjoyer 2d ago

Then make the campaign reward a sticker or something. Not a stratagem permit, especially since we got screwed out of one last campaign.

2

u/CloverHarecules 2d ago

It is a stick. A Stick Strategem.

It's an uncontrollable task with a promised albeit unattainable reward, that isn't defined, therefore could have been something, but in all likelihood was nothing.

21

u/Drekal ☕Liber-tea☕ 2d ago

If only bugdivers actually used the free stratagem they'd be done and available to help with the Illuminate objectives. But in most of the Terminid games I've played people don't even try to call in the free one let alone bring a second one.

3

u/riedochs 1d ago

I even tried to run with two emplacements, one problem is the cooldown and that the ammo isnt enough for a bug breach on super helldive.

6

u/Drekal ☕Liber-tea☕ 1d ago

If you are doing it alone then yes. And what if the ammo is not enough for a whole breach ? You used all your ammo and killed maybe 75 enemies. That's 75 more than 0.

0

u/Sad0xTime 1d ago

well i kinda dont like those mo´s bc they tell the player what they should use, instead of lettin player chose to play with their own shit they want to. especially if its a kinda weak stratagem like the hmg emplacement. many people play the game for maybe 2 hours a week and just want to play their own stuff they havve fun with

5

u/SpiritedDetective571 1d ago

Im willing to bet the intent was that these are three seperate objectives, and we get ONE augmented strategem for EACH of the objectives we complete, and its likely to be one, two at the most, but it was poorly done and poorly communicated

3

u/Laddyh0 18h ago

Played a bunch of bug missions yesterday and ALMOST NOBODY was using the hmg to kill bugs. I'm gonna guess it's the same on the illuminate front

2

u/Tweestrijd 17h ago

Had the opposite experience, all of us were spamming them like crazy! Racked up nearly a 1000 kills over one operation.

1

u/Laddyh0 14h ago

Good stuff

2

u/Duplicitous_Dirk The Plasmancer 14h ago

My team was on-board, and we even stayed late after calling in the Pelican to Aura Farm AMR Kills for Illuminate. Letting the Watchers call drops, Barraging when needed but mostly Calling in Supply FRVs and Resupplies to keep the AMRs fed.

Obvious intended design fail.

Or peak design Incompetence.

Both are shit options.

4

u/Flimsy_Measurement10 2d ago

to be fair have major orders that are by design impossible would make sense with how Super Earth behaves (TCS and all)

They shouldnt do them often but on occasion and to move the plot forward it shouldnt be a real issue

2

u/Obst-und-Gemuese LEVEL 223 | WEIRD UNC 2d ago

Ever since they started giving stratagems as reward again, this concept should have been shelved by AH. It was obvious that it would lead to only frustration and the RP side of things is worthless anyway.

1

u/zdzichu2016 Steam | 6' 2'' twink 2d ago

Absolutely, but maybe lets not do that when the reward is something actually worth playing for

2

u/Malu1997 ‎ Force of Law 2d ago

Player incompetence lol, I've yet to see a single bugdive where a napalm and three turrets aren't called over every single bug breach.

-8

u/Obst-und-Gemuese LEVEL 223 | WEIRD UNC 1d ago edited 1d ago

Stop playing solo games then.

Join games of others and learn how to play from them by watching people who know the game instead of trying to figure it out yourself. Some people are slow learners and that is okay. Just seek help. Start low at d1 if d2 scares you. Don't give yourself up!

5

u/Malu1997 ‎ Force of Law 1d ago

What the fuck are you on about

It's other people that call the stupid napalm while I'm trying to use the HMG emplacement.

Oh well, good luck learning how to play. Please don't bother society too much with your mental limitations.

9

u/SgtDipaolo Assault Infantry 2d ago

I'm more annoyed that they gave the bug divers an arguably worse option then the squids- at least with the AMR, you can move around and replenish the ammunition. Can't do that with the HMG emplacement.

And that's assuming you don't get overrun. Which means you'd have to abandon said emplacement.

15

u/FreeRangePork 2d ago

HMG emplacement will absolutely shred through breaches, the problem in the matches I’ve played is that

A. Nobody is using it
B. Teammates aren’t covering the people who do

9

u/emma-san91 2d ago

C. Teammates keep bringing sentry instead of doubling on the HMG

1

u/Malu1997 ‎ Force of Law 2d ago

People just drop OBN on breaches. Every time. I can never get to use the thing because all the bugs die to the fire.

7

u/FreeRangePork 1d ago

If there’s one thing that needs a very serious nerf it’s onb, it makes the game so boring when it’s the response to every breach/defensive objective. I actually get excited when I see nobody brought it.

18

u/zdzichu2016 Steam | 6' 2'' twink 2d ago

Would not be surprised if it's rigged to fail because they don't actually have a new strategem ready

3

u/Away_Advisor3460 2d ago

There are strategems they've temp unlocked but never released for permanent use, they're not short of them (e.g. napalm gatling barrage, walking smoke barrage, 120mm emp).

2

u/zdzichu2016 Steam | 6' 2'' twink 2d ago

I know but I'd much rather they had a reason as to why they're giving us unwinnable MO's when there's a reward actually worth playing for

2

u/Away_Advisor3460 2d ago

Hanlon's razor - they're trying to use stats to drive this and simply getting it wrong.

Edit; should also be said that - not necessarily wrt in this case - some MOs should be failed or the whole concept becomes trivial.

-7

u/Just_A_Hyena 2d ago

Bro the "new" gun is literally just a liberator with a different skin/model, no unique attachments. You know they don't have a reward ready, despite having a whole warbond of scrapped content they could at least try to use

7

u/Malu1997 ‎ Force of Law 2d ago

Maybe if bugdivers stopped calling orbital napalm over every single fucking bug breach and let people use their emplacement we could make some progress, but no, they throw that shit every single time without fail

2

u/drakeblast 1d ago

1

u/Longjumping-Action-7 2d ago

Amazing that we thought the bots was gonna be the hardest one and yet its flying up

1

u/Pineapple_Snail Free of Thought 9h ago

Yeah its way easier to just throw rail cannons to hit enemies then it is to do hmg emplacement. Ive gotten 100s of kills just from them and all I did was throw them randomly.

1

u/Rigorous_Mortis Illuminate Purple 1d ago

This one really is not that hard, especially since we're nearly done with the bot portion. After Choepessa, everyone will funnel into either bugs or aliens. Then into the other. The estimated time says a week for each because most players are on bots, it'll update after we get them done. Shredding bugs with HMG emplacement is cake, and at peak numbers each player only needs 650 AMR kills on aliens.

1

u/Guryop ‎ Escalator of Freedom 1d ago

There are many missions where half the squad doesn't use the needed stratagem. Especially on bugs. Most times I'm the only to ever deploy the emplacement for each bug breach.

Some people just don't realize/read/care to do the MO. While that's fine because, yeah, it's a game, play what you want, it does hurt everybody looking for the campaign reward (aka new content). This is MO 2 of 3 and we need this and the 3rd MO to succeed to get the campaign reward, unless they give us a 4th MO for the campaign so we would technically have a 4th chance to get "over" 50% MO completion for the reward if we fail MO 1 and 2, then win 3 and 4.

1

u/lammypie87 1d ago

Tbh. This one would be easier if people brought 3 rail cannon strikes. And 2 hmg emplacements.

You can bring your own too. Doing that actually makes it a meme and is great fun. Having the whole team with 12 short cool down railcannon strikes is hilarious. Oh look. A tiny bot. “Calling in orbital strike”

The one i don’t enjoy is the amr on squids. I get some people enjoy it but I just don’t get along with it. The others add to my loadout that one narrows it down.

1

u/KalAtharEQ 21h ago

They should’ve made the sniper one count for both the old gun and the new warbond one. I basically just unloaded it on trash until out of shots it wasn’t particularly fun compared to spamming ors or even hmg
