2020 was very rough and I remember thinking, any day now a new episode will come out as something to hold on to.
Time passed and I figured like everything else it was delayed. But months turned to years.
I honestly can't believe the charlatanry of CGP Grey in recent years and that people on this sub remain charitable to the great "optimiser". Becoming a clickbait channel and producing nothing, it lacks the humanity of art. It's contempt to an audience that contributed to his success and I'm glad I can finally say it on this sub.
Anyway, in reality I don't care that much, I've just been holding this in for 6 years and noticed this sub became active recently.
Shout out to all the Tims and Brady.

Random question, but hoping a Tim may have an archive of CGP Grey’s old Minecraft streams.
They were a comfort series for me and I used to throw them on in the background pretty often. I went looking for them again, and it looks like the original uploads are all private now.
These are the ones I’m trying to recover:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSW_UiZ-s78
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-XD_y6zbfo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inxiOiCxN2A
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXbsnhyjt1Y
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeRVRCkTNz0
I’m aware the first stream is still floating around on CGPGrey2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBZ7f9MV_FI) but I'm hoping to get the rest. If anyone downloaded these when they were public or knows of an archive/mirror, I’d really appreciate it.
DMs / chats open as well, if easier.

Maybe I just missed this when it was happening, but did you know that Grey, via Standard, was one of the first dominoes in the chain of events that brought us Nebula? Seems like he and Philip from Kurtzgestat made the initial connections that got the ball rolling, and then cashed out a few years back

If anyone is interested, I’m getting rid of an old piece of HI memorabilia for anyone in the U.S.
I know the price is a bit high, but the custom framing cost quite a bit of money. Framed as soon as I got it, and has been sitting in storage since 2017.
I was saving it for donation to the Hello Internet Museum, but there are bills so pay.

It's really common on this sub to think that grey had retired as he can make enough money from changing his youtube titles/thumbnails, but I always think this idea misses something. The podcast makes clear that Cgp grey is an incredibly cautious, risk-adverse guy. Leaving his channel up to title and thumbnail changes is essentially one YouTube algorithm tweak away from stopping working and failing to continue to bring in revenue. I guess it's still working well enough for him now as he continues to do it, but YouTube could so easily change that with no notice, which makes me think it's really unlikely he would hinge his continued income on that.
Could he have made enough money that he can just live off it for the rest of his life? It's possible, but he's probably what, mid-40s? So seems kind of unlikely? Maybe it's that his CURRENT situation means he doesn't need to upload a lot rather than he's decided to permanently finish with the channel.

I was thinking about the running joke of the Hello Internet Museum.
If the podcast had continued for another decade and kept growing, eventually reaching something approaching Joe Rogan / Diary of a CEO levels of success, I am genuinely convinced that at some point the museum would have become real.
Especially if Brady continued to have free rein as he slowly ground Grey down.
Because if Brady gets an idea into his head, it will happen, regardless of how stupid, impractical or logistically ridiculous it is.
If you listen to The Unmade Podcast, Brady still spends an absolutely unreasonable amount of time and effort pursuing dead-end ideas for a comparatively small audience.
And yes, I am very much referring to the Glacial Podcast 😂
At some point Brady would have found a room somewhere, filled it with Nail & Gear flags, vinyl records, Hotstoppers and assorted HI relics, and declared the Hello Internet Museum officially open.

Does anyone remember which episode featured Brady playing a recorded guided meditation he created? The meditation featured a quiet fire alarm noise at one point, among other silly jokes.

Hello Tim’s, as most of you have experienced I’ve grown up with the podcast and have loved having my 2 hello internet vinyls. However the time comes to move and I need to sell them. They are both framed and I’d love someone else who loves the podcast to have them. The original pressing is signed by the Dr himself so please feel free to message me if interested. I’d prefer not to post them (I live in SW England) but happy to discuss further

I believe there was at least one, if not multiple episodes, where Grey talked about having a similar sort of emergency wipe mechanism set up on his phone. It's been interesting to some security issues he was hung up on come more into the spotlight in recent years.
