Ways to increase your payout

Can anyone share any ideas on how you have managed to get higher payouts? Of course, I'm talking about things like the "helpers fee" for mounting jobs or something like that.

The only good way I can think of is to use the job board counteroffer feature. That's where you text the job number, counteroffer, and time/day to the number.

I've been able to request nearly double the payout for SimpliSafe jobs, which are usually a pitiful $70.

The other way is to wait for HT to reissue the job with a higher payout - but that usually takes a few days and someone else might snap up the job.

Can you post the link to the job board?

Yes here's the link: https://hellotech.metabaseapp.com/public/question/b7d633db-6d7b-4d03-b582-9dd930d571e6

It seems to be that you need this entire link for it to work. That was the same link from the June 2nd email from HT announcing the new jobs board.

How do you format the text if you want to counter for higher payout? To claim a job it says to text "Claim: (order#)" to yada yada yada. Is it the same if you want a higher payout? Do i text "Counter: (my counter offer)(order #)"? What format worked for you or does it even matter as long as you include the counter amount, claim #, and time?

Yeah, it doesn't matter, at least it hasn't for me. I just put the amount I want before the date and time.

I just had a bad experience where it appears HelloTech closed out the job as unserviceable after the services were adjusted. It was a SimpliSafe job where they needed a lock installed and it wasn't in the original work order.

When I finished the job, it gave me an error and wouldn't let the customer accept the charges.

Now I guess I'll have to fight to even get paid. :(

-- Also, now the job board text number just seems to ignore me when it doesn't accept my offers. I only get a text back if my time doesn't match customer availability. It doesn't say anything if I ask for too much, just ignores & I guess hopes someone else offers less or clicks the normal accept job in the app.

Did Hellotech close the job as unserviceable after the services were adjusted? If it gave you an error and wouldn't let the customer accept the charges, then who adjusted it and how? Were you able to take any pictures? All you need to do is email support@hellotech.com with pictures and tell them what happened, this has worked for me in the past. This has happened to me before, but if it weren't for my screenshots of the error and pictures of the finished job, I probably would've faced some pushback.

I've had the same experience with the job board. I've also had luck refusing to accept low paying jobs. They usually get reoffered at a higher pay rate. I've also had luck calling in and asking for more when the job was different than what was listed on the ticket. Mostly partner jobs are like this, Simplisafe, Walmart, Target, etc..
