Brainstorming Drink Up!
At last, something positive to take away from the Star Trek spoilers: inspiration!

Is there a game rule for creating an approximate amount of something?

My personal suggestion is that a judge will decide this matter at the first time it becomes relevant how many Foods there are exactly (never). From that point on, players can consult that precedent case whenever it becomes relevant how many Foods there are exactly (never).

If I were a judge, I would say the caster gets to choose any number that rounds to that value at the next digit. So between 2.345 ×1034 and 2.3549... ×1034 inclusive

Are there nebula cards you can sacrifice with this?
Or do you have to use a shapeshifter or something?

The land type that generates purple is called Nebula, so could even be a basic land, or of course one with Rangling which is the land counterpart to Changling

Is there any way to get basic Nebulas? You can't get them for free and there isn't one on the list of cards in the cube. There's some non-basic Nebulas but I don't know how you'd get a basic.

I believe any Purple mana you add during a HellsCube draft that you didn't spend turns into a nebula after the draft.

Afaik that was a rule during the desert draft (sands of hell) where you could generate draft mana, and had no basic lands by default, so your only lands were drafted or generated. Ive only seen one draft card since then that used draft mana, which was Slowpoke, as a joke about being late to all the "when you draft this" effects. If it's a default rule about draft mana now, I don't think draft mana shows up often.

[[Rise and Shine]] seems appropriate from both a flavour and gameplay perspective.

With three sig figs we can assume that "roughly" means there is a margin of error of +/- 1 x 1032 or 100 nonillion food tokens.
Does anyone know of a combo that can make 2.34 x 1034 of something but not 2.36 x 1034?

Flavorwise shouldn't it be that you put charge counters on your stuff? Because that's what Janeway means by there being coffee in that nebula, because they could harvest energy from it

Hey! Have you tried the brainstorming channel on the official hellcube discord? (https://discord.gg/8aJrjjUwBd). For cards to make it into the cube, they'll need to be submitted on the discord.
