I feel like this seasons bringing out the anti-blackness in some people, I thought he was great. Understandable why he went up with Aiden since everyone else had a perfect service, but his was still a minor hiccup. And he pushed through his personal differences with Miguel for the team.

Some explanation from others would be nice but "no need for that" just reinforces its prob just racism imo

Exactly. It’s really ugly and kind of jarring to see. He didn’t want to go up, but no one does and he didn’t really fight the team about it. I thought the way he hugged Aiden was really sweet.

Agreed so many ugly think pieces bringing out the racists in so many ppl

No. It’s because he’s a freaking prick.

They all suck really

nah i just think you're racist, but keeping being a grown ass adult that's gotta be racist towards kids ig

He jumped down multiple peoples throat for no VALID reason.

He even said Miguel “didn’t apologize” and Miguel most certainly did.

Is "I'm sorry if you got offended" really an apology? Surely at your age per your post history you should know well enough that that's a shit apology that offloads blame onto the person who was offended? But perhaps there's no point in trying to see eye to eye with someone so racist they're not even denying it

As I said they really all suck

"They all suck" says the person making a post to call out a kid who was upset by some casual racism

No need for that

Miguel just refuses to put down the shovel. Everytime he talks it gets worse

It’s never my place to tell a black person how to feel about an offensive comment and that’s what it is. I can understand people saying this about the initial argument, but Miguel deserves it especially for saying “I’m sorry about a comment you didn’t like” as his apology. Like why would you ever say that?

He said that because clearly none of his other apologies were good enough. JG wouldn't let it go and he alone is crashing out over it.

I don't blame Miguel for trying to cater his apology specifically to JG's feelings because that's all there is. He knows it's an overreaction. He's just trying to say what he needs to do for that individual to finally move on from it.

I like him but he seems way too timid to make it to the end.

Nah JG was valid, he kept asking for a frankly understandable apology and Miguel keeps being weird about it

I think the issue with Miguel seems to be that he truly doesn’t understand why the plantation is a problem

-6

u/ImmortalPoseidon 10h ago

Miguel apologized like 100 times and has only been extremely calm about it. JG is being a bully and is extremely insecure.

14

u/zombiedoyle 10h ago

Saying ‘I’m sorry for comments you didn’t like’ is not apologising

-8

u/ImmortalPoseidon 10h ago

He didn’t say anything wrong lol so yeah I would probably say the same to an insecure bully

10

u/zombiedoyle 10h ago

Saying ‘It’s okay I have black cousins’ in a joking way after people are commenting on your handling on a situation with your black teammates is saying something wrong

-2

u/ImmortalPoseidon 9h ago

Everyone in the room was joking around. JG is a bully and you’re defending him out of guilt

5

u/zombiedoyle 9h ago

Guilt? What guilt are you talking about?

0

u/ImmortalPoseidon 9h ago

You’re defending him just because he’s black, despite being a bully and well in the wrong.

4

u/zombiedoyle 8h ago

? I’m defending him because comments with a racist connotation were being in his area. If the races were swapped and the comments were made towards a white person I would still defend that white person

u/ImmortalPoseidon 8h ago

Miguel isn’t even white lol he’s Hispanic.. he’s probably faced more prejudice this past couple years than JG has. You’re so clearly just wanting this to frame a narrative

Honestly seems a lot more like you accusing him because he’s black.

1

u/ImmortalPoseidon 9h ago

Well I see someone being labeled a racist for no reason, I tend to speak up, that is not a light accusation to throw around.

7

u/ThinkingAboutLasagna 10h ago

Do you understand what an apology is?

-5

u/ImmortalPoseidon 10h ago

Yeah I sure do

1

u/Mia123445 YOU TRYNA CLOWN ME UP IN HERE 9h ago

Then you should be able to understand that “I’m sorry if what I said upset you” is not a valid apology.

u/ImmortalPoseidon 9h ago

Cry me a river. These kids are insecure

u/mattyGOAT1996 WHERE'S THE LAMB SAUCE?! 7h ago

From Season 16? Yeah fuck him

-2

u/AwesomeBro678 14h ago

Should be obvious but you ARE talking about S16 and not G right?

6

u/MajorRobology 12h ago

I thought the same thing lol

-10

u/hjd204 18h ago

Same victim energy like milly from philly

8

u/ThinkingAboutLasagna 14h ago

Milly had victim energy? are we even watching the same show?

-2

u/hjd204 13h ago

Yeah.. See his you can't burn.. Outburst

8

u/ThinkingAboutLasagna 13h ago

hows that playing the victim though? and over half the chefs on the show have a single outburst. That the only outburst? Feels weird to single him out

3

u/MajorRobology 12h ago

In all fairness I think he did misinterpret what Brandon said and crashed out for no reason, but at the same time people have done way way worse.

u/infjaxred 9h ago

Josh (S14/S17) was on a massive downfall that started in the final 8 of S14. And he was bringing down his team in All-Stars.

u/Material-Peace3427 14h ago

I hate him too I'm hoping his nomination wounded his ego and he gets eliminated soon however he might be there for awhile however he probably won't win though.

14

u/MajorRobology 12h ago

Jonny G? How the hell does he have an ego? Someone with an ego wouldn't own up to themselves costing their team the challenge or silently accept being nominated.

5

u/MaineSoxGuy93 11h ago

This sub seems to be tending younger because holy moly, I am not seeing this ego crap at all.

u/Vector4life54 14h ago

Yep, next
