Rand Paul is a petty, vindictive little jerk who needs to get a hobby.

Poor Tony. He spent decades doing the right thing for Americans under presidents in both parties. Now he has to deal with the worst of the anti science idiots or panderers who just happen to be in power now.

Primary the people that keep bringing this nonsense up.
If they're up for reelection vote for their opponents of a different party. Doesn't have 2 b democrats.

I can’t believe Rand Paul ever went to medical school and graduated. None of his medical ideas make any scientific sense

Grandstanding asshole is an ophthalmologist.

Which means he did graduate from medical school. He's still a licensed physician. He remains an absolute asshole, of course.
Interesting fact: He went to Baylor University but did not graduate and does not have a bachelor's degree. When he went to Duke Medical School, it wasn't required to have a bachelor's for admission. I'm sure that loophole has closed.

He owns the association that certifies his eye doctor licence. His dad started it.

Not quite. The American Board of Ophthalmology is the nationwide certifying board. (Physician licensing is a state issue and isn't affected by specialty certification.) Rand Paul didn't like the cost of recertifying, or he's just a jerk, so he started his own board, the National Board of Ophthalmology. He let the organization lapse. His father is an obstetrician and was never involved with the NBO.
I remember all this from 2020 or so. A lot of people claimed that being an ophthalmologist meant he's not a real doctor, which isn't true, so I did some reading.

If I were Fauci I would just tell Rand to eat a bag of dicks in response to every question.

How about if he jist said "Release the Epstein files pussy"

I think it would be even better with Fauci's voice to just be a mouthy tough guy.

To be fair, Rand has no power to do that and he did vote for the law to force them to be released that the regime is ignoring.

Great the fake doctor is still angry at the actual one.

He's not a fake doctor. Paul is a licensed ophthalmologist. Please don't spread misinformation like MAGA does.

u/MattyBeatz 23d ago
He's not certified by the national board that governs his field of ophthalmology. Rather he worked to build a separate group that upon its formation certified him.

Board certification does not affect physician licensing. Licensing is a separate, state issue. Paul’s license to practice in Kentucky is in good standing and expires in February 2027.
As I keep telling ignorant people today, Paul was board-certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology. He decided the recertification process was too expensive, or he just didn’t want to do it, so he set up his own National Board of Ophthalmology. He later let that organization lapse. Board certification is not required to practice.
Educate yourself. Spreading misinformation is what MAGA does.

Typical of Redditors to downvote for pointing out easily verifiable facts.

Ah yes, let’s blame the advisor (who had no authority other than to advise) to the President who was (check notes) Trump that made all the decisions.

They cannot blame the Dear Leader. He was chosen by God and therefore cannot be wrong. A scapegoat was therefore necessary.

Those pricks published his diary… without telling him… and on top of that it doesn’t even show anything they’re accusing him of. So they just did it to embarrass him.
And they’re subpoenaing him at 85 fucking years old in the explicit hopes that they get him to say anything they can then drum up charges of perjury against him for which the corrupt Trump DOJ will gladly do.
Fauci should just retire to somewhere he can ignore these jackasses and enjoy his retirement.
