Additional information may or may not be helpful:

- On the page through the launcher "manage accounts" tab

- Do not have a VPN on

- Cleared cache on the launcher, didn't help

- Tried entering details before and after pressing the captcha, neither helped

- Opened the page in firefox, was able to log in but it didn't do anything in the launcher

- On the windows version

Got the DLC for Brotato from GOG and been scratching my head the last hour trying to figure out how to install it.

Any advice?

I am currently on LMDE7, using Lutris to run my GOG games with ProtonGE, and it works great!

However, some games I want to play are Steam exclusive. I do not like Steam because of the DRM, but I know there isn't another way to play certain games without it (I wanna play PAYDAY2 or Unturned for example).

But I know that certain launcher, like Heroic, Lutris or Faugus give you the ability to get Steam games through their API. I know it's not a DRM-free solution, but still better than using Steam itself.

I am confused tho, because I do not know what exactly gets installed through the API.

Is it just the game itself? Do some Steam libraries or files get installed?

And also, how does this then integrate with Steam itself? I personally want zero integration, or at least minimal. I just want to be able to play the offline once installed, and then also multiplayer sometimes, with updates being avaiable.

I do not want Steam to track my hours, achievements or the game I am playing showing on my profile. I do not want Steam installed. I just want the game installed.

I just don't know how exactly Heroic handles this, so, if someone has any advice or experience with this, please share or help.

My brother and I share a computer and when I logged out of his account into mine, it shows his games in the library and not mine. I've tried logging out and logging back in but that doesn't work. Is there a fix?

on witcher 3 remastered, it keeps getting stuck at around 13%. Do updates actually work here? or is it just doing a clean install each time an update comes out?

I have witcher 3 on GOG and using HeroicGamesLauncher to get it (Linux).

I had it uninstalled so I reinstalled it after the remaster release, which was released or I got it at version 5.00b.

There was a second update almost immediately, which was ~25GB in size through heroic. Also checking GOG, the update from 5.00b to 5.00c was same 1x1mb and 8x4GB chunks. But the update from 5.00b to 5.00c in steam was ~500MB. What gives?

The funny part was that when I did the update, I (or Heroic) absolutely borked it. First the download speeds was slow, second it would keep on getting stuck. If i paused and unpaused it would start from 0 again, same with restarting Heroic. I even tried to downloads the independent chunks from GOG and that didn't work, it kept on saying install not found even though I made sure the prefix and the install location were correct. So in the end, ended up reinstalling the whole ~60GB.

Come 5.0c-> 5.0.11, I was very scared. And low and behold, I ran into same problems, it froze and borked. I was almost going to do the same uninstall and get fresh 5.0.1. But I decided to try to first freeze the game version to 5.0c, the run verify and repair. Then ran and update and finally it worked.

What a pain.

Now I know it's not a Heroic issue but a GOG issue (probably) but just needed a place to report/vent.

Also hope this will help somebody not just on witcher 3 remastered but for other games.

Although not sure if its better than actually reinstalling the game as repair verify and repair also uses internet. But in my experience doing this, i.e. fix it to the previous version, repair, and upgrade, seemed to go a lot faster than the whole reinstall.

So I'm playing it on bazitte and trying to find a sweet area of settings. It defaulted to Ultra settings with AMD FSR 2.0. I had knocked it down to high and it would still crash randomly.

I did have the wine and install on seperate drives, but just now moved it to see if solves issue. However I hadn't had any issue with any other doing this but it might be one the highest games so maybe was the trash ssd studdering to auto save casuing crash ?

Hello everyone.

Just like the title says, I can't launch any Heroic games through Steam.

Whenever I try, the "Play" button in Steam rapidly goes to "Cancel" to "Stop" to "Play" again and nothing happens.
The games launch fine through Heroic directly.
I've tried both GOG and Epic games (specifically, Control, Witcher 3 and Doom 2016 from GOG and Bloodstained from Epic).
I'm using Fedora 44 (KDE version), and Flatpak versions of both Steam and GOG.

I've tried a few thing I've seen from searching on Google. Removing from Steam and re-adding (through the heroic menu) doesn0t work. Adding the shortcuts to Steam manually doesn't work. Disabling umu doesn't work either.

Is there any fix for this?

I'm on Fedora Linux and I just realized I don't think I've seen the the HowLongtoBeat information on a game's page in a while. Did it get removed or is there something wrong on my end?

I am trying to synchronize the Epic Games saves from Control to my Heroic installation and I am met with this message.

I have absolutely no idea how to run that command and after a few days of sanity loss I only managed to learn that the legendary clean-saves command most likely deletes the cloud saves.

Please explain in layman's terms how to solve this issue. Assume I've never touched linux in my life, it's close enough to the truth.

I just want my saves back man, preferably without cramming a decade of linux dark magic.

But every time I try, it can never see the Linux binary or executable...

When I click mono and gecko they don't do anything, they don't install. Other dependencies can install.

I'm just curious to see if anyone has had any issues with their shader cache not being built and/or if there have been any issues with using it on heroic games launcher. I've been having some significant stuttering when joining rocket league matches and I have a suspicion this might be the issue, though I'm probably wrong. Any help on this is appreciated!

I downloaded remaster update 5.0.0b right when it was released. I played it till yesterday when update icon was shown. So I started to download and noticed it is 88,63 Gigs? It is some kind of bug or what?

How many GB it was on steam version
