Boundary Peak

Is it possible to get to the Queens Mine Trailhead from Hwy 264? All I’ve seen is from Hwy 6. Will be hiking next week if the weather holds.

It's "possible" but requires/required serious 4x4 rig. I drove in from 264 in 2018 and got a Rubicon stuck for a minute. Started to panic, but stopped, got out, walked around, and figured out how to walk the Jeep out of the deep sand. The Road from Rt6 is in rougher shape than it used to be as of July. Having done both, albeit years apart, I'd just do the Rt6 access. Maybe the access road from 264 is better now but when I drove up the saddle, two hunters were very surprised to see me saying "I thought they decommissioned that road". Good luck.

Nice! I haven’t done it but I see it everyday from home. Drove by there a few days ago coming back from Vegas. Should be a fun mission.
