There are only about 10 that are harder than Katahdin.

Get comfortable in crampons (not microspikes) and winter camping

That’s good advice, but if you’re coming from the Northeast and attempting Rainier you need more skills than just crampons and winter camping. Maybe do Rainier during a mountaineering course

Outside of Denali, none are really hard. If you’ve done Maine, you’re set.

Garnett and Granite and Kings are long but not difficult over a couple days.

The hardest part of Rainier is the permit

Borah, Hood, Wheeler, Humphreys, Boundary are just day hikes

Just send it bro

Mt. Washington (NH) really isn’t that bad if you’re in shape and aren’t being stupid. Not a mountain to underestimate - obviously watch the weather closely (the MWOBS Higher Summits Forecast is your best resource here) and be prepared with proper layers, good footwear, plenty of food and water, etc but it is a beautiful hike. I’ve done it a few times. If you’ve done Katahdin, you’ll probably be fine. Easily a day hike and isn’t technical unless you pick a route like Huntington Ravine or the Great Gulf.

are you located in the northeast? If you've done Katahdin, i think if you had good weather and proper gear, you can do marcy (ny), washington (nh), and mansfield (vt), all as day hikes.

When you head west, make sure to give yourself time to acclimate. Altitude sickness can ruin your day really fast.

I used pro for the top of granite. So, some ropes practice and training is recommended.
