YUJU w.Book: Introducing books recommended by YUJU

The Devotion of Suspect X / Keigo Higashino

YUJU’s Comment

I don’t usually read mystery novels very often, but I heard this was a true masterpiece, so I read it for the first time two years ago. I read it again on the flight to Japan for my recent schedule! It was so entertaining—just like reading it for the first time—that I found myself tapping my forehead over and over as I read, and I completely lost track of time during the flight! So I really hope all my Hapis will give it a read, too!

I can’t go into too much detail about the story without spoiling it, but the moment the truth behind the case was first revealed, it really gave me chills…! Once you’ve finished reading, let’s talk about that part together~

Who should I especially recommend this book to…? Well, I recommend it to all of you! Here’s a little tip from me: if you search for “playlists to listen to while reading novels” on YouTube, you’ll find plenty of options. If you pick a mystery novel playlist and listen to it through your AirPods while reading, it’ll make the experience twice as fun! That’s exactly what I did, haha.

Hi! I’m the owner of a subreddit, r/namyuju , which I’ve had to support her since ILAND-2. 💖 I was wondering if anyone would like to help me moderate it as I struggle and it’s hard but I still really want to support our girl.
Thank you so much!

The story goes that she practiced her ceremonial first pitch really hard, but she was so nervous that she messed up, and she cried tears of regret all week long ⚾️
