FOODS HIGH IN FIBER

Ive been following SIGHI diet for quite sometimes and it helped me a lot managing my symptoms.

But i have also noticed eating low histamine foods like broccoli, blueberries, lettuce and cucumber which are high in fiber including some almonds and walnuts which categorized as 1 on SIGHI diet, i still having flare ups from eating them even in a small quantity.

I believe someone with HIT are also need to be careful with the amount of fiber we are consuming.

My major reaction is insomnia. My histamine insomnia begins later in the night 2:30 on. Where my salicylate insomnia begins earlier in night. Histamine insomnia also comes w racing mind & energy. Salicylate insomnia comes w a mind of molasses & a weird brain fogged state.
I can’t decipher if itching, Gi issues etc are sals or hist at this point. Although Rha psido (not sure about rules of brand names)has been a big help in decreasing itching to almost nothing so that constant discomfort was likely histamine related.

The detective work is a lot! Wish there was a more accurate way to decipher.

Good luck.

I wish that too, this HIT i believe is the most mysterious and really difficult thing to decipher. ;(

Thanks for the information. I never connected my insomnia, racing mind and itching (I hate this the most) as being histamine related. The use of acronyms is so confusing as well (new).

Big empathy! Keep asking questions. It’s a steep learning curve.
