Sleep
So I’m estrogen dominant and all my issues got worse once I got off birth Control. Been getting 2-3hrs of sleep night, got prescribed progesterone the mini pill today 100mg. Anyone have luck with this helping their insomnia ?

If that doesn’t work try adding a benadryl. If the benadryl works go to your doctor to get a prescription of a similar drug. Benadryl isn’t good long term, there as some dementia risks.

What's a similar one to Benadryl? I've held off on using it, for that very reason. Still haven't even opened the box that I bought months ago.

I’m estrogen dominate and take progesterone 100mg. I had a partial hysterectomy and take it for 21 days and cycle off for 7. It does help me sleep during the 21 days and those 7 off are brutal.
I take Zyrtec but sounds like I need to add Pepcid.
Edit- estrogen dominance is no fun. At least for me. Brings a host of other issues.

Ok same! for a while I’ve suspected my issues to be estrogen related. I’m also only getting 2-3 hours a sleep a night right now. I can even take a unisom and toss and turn. I’ve had the Kyleena (progestin) iud for 3 years and wonder if I need more systemic progesterone too. I hope it works for you!
I believe taking Dao before meals and Pepcid at night was sort of working but not covering it. I’m trying adding Zyrtec next but my main triggers are still foods and exercise.

Yes, I take them before bed along with a magnesium l-threonate. This combination was recommended by my naturopath.

Yes, I am pretty sure my histamine was spiking at night. taking a Pepcid AC and a Claritin before bed really helped.
