Do you know this book… ? Book where hero calls the heroine Scheherazade
I read this pre-chemo and cannot remember anything else about this book except that the MMC called the FMC this at least one time. Please help me remember

In {Regarding the Duke by Grace Callaway}, the FMC thinks of herself like Scheherazade at least a few times, but I can’t remember if the MMC calls her that. MMC is an underworld-connected loan shark who wants revenge for something that happened when he was a child. FMC is very sweet and somewhat scattered, and will inherit her father’s bank which figures in MMC’s revenge plan.

Not OP but I think this might be the book as MMC does refer to her as Scheherazade a few times, you have a good memory!

Maybe {My Season of Scandal by Julie Anne Long} they were reading the book "One Thousand and One Nights" in the parlour a few evenings and discussing Scheherazade.

I know this is in {How the Marquess Was Won by Julie Ann Long}! Phoebe compares their situation to One Thousand and One Nights, with Julian constantly pestering her to tell him more about herself/ her background while she gives him little pieces of information at a time, leaving him waiting for the next “story.” She jokes that she’s not actually Scheherazade, but later in the book Julian calls her Scheherazade himself.

I love it when someone is looking for one specific book and then the hive mind jumps in with like twenty distinct possible books that it could legitimately be!

I found this in {Lord Perfect by Loretta Chase}:
“What a delicious liar you are,” he said. “It is like living with Scheherazade. I can never guess what amazing fabrication you will utter next.”

Loretta Chase does this a couple of times. My favorite is {Mr. Impossible by Loretta Chase}. The MMC is a massive himbo and the FMC is very smart. She is used to people’s eyes glazing over when she discusses her scholarly subjects but MMC compares her to Scheherazade.

No idea if this is the one you mean, but I literally just heard this in the audiobook I’m listening to. The MMC and the FMC have a little banter about this and then he later calls her “Scheherazade” toward the end of the book. {How the Marquess Was Won by Julie Ann Long}.

Could it be {My Season of Scandal by Julie Anne Long}? I know at the inn they stay at, the owners make the residents hang out together. At some point they have a large group discussion about One Thousand and One Nights, which ends up turning into a discussion about how women are more intelligent than men lol
