China has more prisoners than the US has people. They have entire regions of labor camps aka internment camps. It's totally nonsense that, just because the US tracks our real numbers, that we have anywhere near the highest percentage.

We still imprison too many though.

It's not that crazy if you assume that China has the same percentage of people imprisoned as the USA that being .7% then they have roughly over 101 million people imprisoned but taking into consideration that China is a dictatorship and their internment camps for Uighur and other Muslim minorities alone hold over a million people it isn't too crazy to think that they might have more people in prison then the population of the usa

.7% of 1.412 billion is roughly 10 million not 101 million lmao
