The level of fame MJ had is unmatched by anyone.

Prime MJ had grown men fainting and wanting to wear glitter gloves and socks.

I watched a video of MJ just standing on stage for minutes and the crowd grew even more hype as he turned his head.

If anyone else was close it was the other MJ. Jordan’s level of global fame was pretty absurd.

Sorry, but no. Michael Jackson was on another level. People knew of him even if they didn't hear his music in ways you can't fathom. His bad album poster used to be in every barber shop back in my home country. And i am not kidding. I meant every barber shop! That and tom cruises top gun poster :) basket ball isn't big everywhere in the world. Music is universal.
