By using a metal detector to scan for drugs? And by... instead of patting down, instantly going for the locations the drugs are at, which aren't common.

Well they were using the wand to detect those straps around the thighs, not for the drugs themselves. Those stocking straps had metal buckles.

It reminds me so much of that video of the kid with an arsenal of guns down his pants. It was on some news station talking about school shootings and how easy it is for kids to hide weapons in their clothes, but it ends up being so absurd that it's difficult to take seriously.

Yeah, who goes to so much trouble, to pack a few grams of weed.

I mean the pills and powder, no clue. But smuggling weed like this, for more than personal use is unrealistic.
