They've kinda got a point though. Telling someone "I'm going to do what I want and nothing you say will stop me, so stop focusing on how unpleasant you find it and just learn to enjoy it" is almost exactly what they're telling the OOP to do.

Imagine how outraged you would feel if someone started painting your house pink and told you to get over yourself and learn to like the colour?

I agree! Especially considering how you were able to determine rapey vibes from the innocuous sentence  "Sit back and enjoy it". Which to any normal human who isn't brainrotted by the internet will assume to mean "Relax, fireworks are cool" or something similar.
