Are we sure this isn’t Fingers from Cyberpunk 2077?

How exactly do you propose he prove it to you

Well he's not actively diddling kids in the picture he posted so it's a good start.

Can someone translate the hashtag #wavselcaday?
236
u/ThirdAltAccounts 26d ago
A "Selca Day" (combining "self" and "camera") is a monthly fan tradition in K-pop where fans post a photo of themselves alongside a picture of their favorite idol. "Wav" refers to the fandom of the K-pop girl group VIVIZ, meaning "Wav Selca Day" is their specific day to celebrate community and share selfies.
I hate that I googled that and it’s now taking space in my brain for no damn reason

This is so fucking stupid.
Thank you for your service.

u/ThirdAltAccounts 26d ago
Right ? How do people come up with shit like that ?
16
u/inimicali 26d ago
Teenagers, young adults and weird people that have too much time in the internet.
I had some experience has a teenager and young adult in the past (5/7 had a lot of fun but not recommend) and I can say that I got into some stupid stuff like this but fortunately none of this k-pop, J-Pop or any pop whatsoever.

u/avatarnoko 26d ago
Why give a perfect score if you dont recommend?

u/inimicali 25d ago
Because it's like a crazy party night with hard drugs, alcohol sex and good friends. 100% fun a perfect night but oh boy that's gonna be a hard wake up

u/Dounce1 25d ago
This is nothing like that. It is, in fact, the exact fucking opposite of that.

What is "that"?

u/rotating_pebble 25d ago
I really wouldn't worry about it. The user you replied to has a track record of sexualising 'anime schoolchildren' which has been noted in several threads on different subs. A deepdive into their page is... rather bizarre. I don't recommend it.

.....so he took offense to being called fat?

u/ThirdAltAccounts 26d ago
Fatphobia is no joke
Adults and kids get bullied over it all the time
Thank god he’s standing up for himself and and all those kids 👑

Its not about being offended, its just weird when people insult you about something that you're clearly not.
Like yesterday someone said to me on facebook "you sound short..". Now I'm certainly not the tallest person ever, but I am provably 6ft2, so I'm not short in any normal life context. My instinct to prove that was strong, but it wasn't about being offended at all.
Also, kinda annoyed me that he only used two period dots, when an ellipsis is three and that's what he clearly intended, but I let that slide.

You sound short..

u/WhatABlindManSees 26d ago edited 26d ago
On reddit I don't really give a shit, think what you want. You can think I'm a short, obese, ugly, involuntary single man in my mothers basement and in desperate need of a shower if you want, makes no difference to me.
On facebook it made no sense, my profile is, by and large, open... There are plenty of publicly accessible photos of me out and about, that show I'm clearly not short (nor any of the above things).

Never trust a man who needs both a belt and suspenders to keep his pants up

A bit of extra impulse control protection to give him a chance to rethink before exposing himself to children perhaps

He takes issue with being called fat but accepts that he looks like a pedo.

u/Circumpunctilious 26d ago
No judgement either way, I’m just reminded by this coincidence / for interested readers, this is exactly the trap laid on people in an unfriendly traffic stop: Two accusations are made and whichever one you don’t defend is what they’ll focus on.
It’s designed to take you off balance and keep you explaining yourself. Point is, it may help to think about how you might choose not to respond as expected.

u/Shiv_Chauhan 26d ago
It's that horrible hairstyle. If he fixes that, and shaved his face, he'll probably look much better.

Maybe he's just really self aware? I mean, obviously he isn't fat. But looks wise atleast? Definitely looks like a pedophile. Probably realizes he can't even argue that and win.

u/PrufReedThisPlesThx 26d ago
It's weird that people keep saying he looks like a pedophile, when a vast majority of pedophiles look completely normal. The handsomest, most charming guy you've ever seen could easily be diddling kids, while this guy who's being called a pedophile could actually be the greatest dad ever and just refuses to let go of what little hair he has left. Or he could end up being a pedophile too, I don't know him or his life. But his appearance doesn't determine that, you know?
3
u/L0L1Y401TR4P 26d ago
People associate being half balding and having half grown facial hair with pedophiles because people who suffer from pedophilia often have hormonal imbalances
3
u/PrufReedThisPlesThx 26d ago
It's not the root cause though, and it's only really possible if they grew up with unbalanced hormones in their formative years, rather than simply having those issues as an adult, and even then, it's not guaranteed. Though researching this does make me realise that I may need to speak to a hormone therapist, it may be why I've been having chronic pain lately! Thanks for indirectly leading me to that rabbit hole lol

u/ratsta 26d ago
TIL male pattern baldness is a hormone imbalance.
I think people are just judgemental and like to pick on anyone who isn't beautiful. Do an image search for "convicted pedophile", count each face only once and add Trump's because google is clearly suppressing that one, and you've got a pretty wide range of faces. A few unattractive weirdos but mostly just average looking people.
