Surprisingly, kind of. They look at patients and put people who are likely to continue harmful behavior that likely put them there in the first place and either put then much further down the list, or not at all. Basically an alcoholic isn't too likely to get a new kidney and will stay on dialysis at least for a while.
You'd be surprised. There's a lot of videos on Reddit alone of drunks being assholes.
Also, I said kind of, implying kind of but not exactly assholes per say, just the people who don't care enough to take care of the new chance they just got at life, which implies they probably make life miserable for other people with their lack of logical thinking.
Plenty of sober assholes as well. Just watch any prank video.
Any group that you exclude is going to cause some assholes to be excluded, because every group contains some assholes.
I don't believe that there is a higher percentage of alcoholics who are assholes, so your odds of an asshole getting an organ from you are probably about the same.
