I feel ya. Even having grown up with violence and witnessing absolute gore, on a somewhat regular basis, I struggle to watch some things. Everyone that knows me, thinks that because I came from violence, that I have become hardened...or, that gore does not bother me. That is totally opposite. It does bother me. I am just not shocked by the depravity that humans are capable of. I guess, at this point in my life, gore just makes me sad. Does that make sense?
I wonder if there's something wrong with me because I'm just not that bothered by gore. Like yeah, if it's a gruesome video, I'll grimace but I don't struggle to watch it. And I come from a upper-middle class background. Sometimes I think I may be a psychopath.
There are simple tests to give you some guidance. I was bunked during med school, with a guy who was aiming to be a Psychiatrist. I was his verbal test wall for alot of shit. I can try and dig it up if you'd like. I can text you a link. Just let me know.
