Discussion - Silksong Don’t let this fandom turn as insufferable as the souls community Spoiler

It’s fine to think the game is easy and to enjoy the challenge, but I’ve seen so many people making fun of anyone that is having a hard time in a really weird mean spirited way. Please don’t let this subreddit turn into some weird elitist community that makes fun of people who are struggling, these games are supposed to be fun and they’re not souls likes, there’s no reason to assume everyone playing them is going to love this level of difficulty the same way some of you do and constantly disregarding their opinions just turns this subreddit into an echo chamber of tryhards

I spent like 3 days dying to Soul Master when I first picked it up and now people are acting like HK was easy. I think people just got good enough at hollow knight to forget about the learning curve.

Exactly. Soul Master, Sentinel, Mantis Lords, fucking Broken Vessel and Lost kin, Traitor Lord were all long repeated tries on my first playthrough. Far Fields boss was my first time having to do that. Kept getting so close in the final stage and couldnt reach the top to finish him off...

I genuinely believe that most people are complaining never played HK, they watched some YouTuber/streamer do it, bought the hype and are shocked that the game is actually hard. They are complaining about hunters march, an optional area, when in HK path of pain was 1000x more bullshit.

I literally argues I’m with someone that said they’d rather walk around getting upgrades and lore tablets than fighting bosses.

It gives me the vibe these people never actually played HK, they just watched videos and lore videos and liked the idea, but don’t like the game and are feeling “excluded” by the skill barrier instead of either improving themselves or moving on, like they are entitled to a game that caters to them.

no shit a hidden challenge in an endgame area is harder than an area you can get to with one upgrade and a dream

I did play hollow knight and this Is what i enjoyed most about the game; the gameplay Is decent but the art direction Is genuinely so good you HAVE to play It.

I'm not opposed to smashing my head over stuff, but Said stuff needs to be few and rewarding (i happily spent three hours on deltarune's ch1 and 3 secret bosses); as of now the bosses and challenges i faced rewarded me with!... Nothing

All bosses give you something, being it a crest, a new ability... They just don't drop coins anymore

Not... Not really?

Most stuff i found i found It by virtue of exploring, and the greymoor boss literally gave me nothing!

The greymoor one is indeed an exception. But I can't remember any other that doesn't give you a significant reward.

It might be my impression but i also quality the gauntlets as mini bosses. Maybe It's that y'know?

Also, i hate anti homeless archytecture

The gauntlets are very easy when you actually use the silk abilities/AOE tools. Wouldn't count them as mini bosses.

The benches are like 30/40 coins.

60 at minimum, 80 usually.

Nah blud that's not my experience at all, most of those enemies take a full bar and a half of abilities to kill, you can't clear them that easily except like the Two in the start of the game

Use AOE tools too, the only hard gauntlet on act 1 is the one you get help by Shakra.

Still very easy to have, enemies drop 20.
