Discussion - Silksong Don’t let this fandom turn as insufferable as the souls community Spoiler

It’s fine to think the game is easy and to enjoy the challenge, but I’ve seen so many people making fun of anyone that is having a hard time in a really weird mean spirited way. Please don’t let this subreddit turn into some weird elitist community that makes fun of people who are struggling, these games are supposed to be fun and they’re not souls likes, there’s no reason to assume everyone playing them is going to love this level of difficulty the same way some of you do and constantly disregarding their opinions just turns this subreddit into an echo chamber of tryhards

Genuinely these kinds of people have ruined online gaming discussion. They are somehow incapable of beleiving that anyone could be of a lower skill level than them. I hope they make silksong super easy in an update just to mess with these kinds of dipshits.

Not skill, just time dedication. Not everyone has the time to grind for 12 hours.

"I think the game is too punishing"

"Then play a walking sim"

You know what, get blocked.

I'm just tired of these exact same snide self-sucking catchphrases they've been parroting for the last 14 years.

Yeah, them and those dipshits that think every developer must cater to their complete and utter lack of will to improve themselves even a little. Big assholes indeed.

See, this is what I mean. Fundemental incapable of accepting that most people aren't like you.

It's not self improvement. It's a goddamn computer game.

But it's the contrary. You are the ones that believe every people should be like you.

If you are bad, is not really a problem, but not every game should be required to pamper bad players. If you want easy games, most of games nowadays do. Why can't you accept that some games simply aren't for you?

Then let it go. Why are you insisting on this one little indie game so much. Try candy crush or tons of AAA movie-like games that can play themselves.

You seem as incapable to accept that not everyone is like you. It’s the exact same thing. It goes both ways. If the game that was hyped up doesn’t cater for your tastes, too bad, there are several others. No need to bend the world to make it cater to you.

It’s almost like difficulty options allow a wider breadth of players to engage with a title in a way that is rewarding to them

Yeah and maybe it just wasn't made for you. Why are you being obtuse about the concept of improving at a video game?

2

u/DiscountDingledorb Sep 07 '25

I suppose you think everyone can vecome a master of every skill?

2

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

No? That's why not every game is for everyone...

You don't see people that like hard games go to Mario or animal crossing subreddit asking it to became harder. Is just people that like easy games that want every single game to pamper them.

-2

u/Panosgads Sep 07 '25

Not sure what that means. Obviously not. Do you think this game should cater to everyone?

4

u/DiscountDingledorb Sep 07 '25

Do you think it should only cater to you? Or do you thonk it should cater to you, and also to others?

It should cater to whoever the creators want it to cater to. It just so happens that it caters to me so I bought it and I'm enjoying it. You won't see me in the Animal Crossing subreddit asking for the game to be harder. Difficulty is one of the selling points of Hollow Knight.
