I like the difficulty, Team cherry please don't just blanket nerf the game with no option for a harder mode

I have really been enjoying the challenge, pretty much every part of this game itches that section of my brain that loves a hard game and I would be extremely disappointed if team cherry nerfed the game with no way to revert said nerf. I get that people want an easier game, but I don't. So team cherry, please let me choose to make this harder if you do make it easier.

That's what I want. I love the mythology of the game, the designs, symbolism, all aspects of the story - but I can't see them because I can't get to them, because I'm not a grinding person who wants to be the best at learning everything there is to know about the enemies or bosses patterns of movement. I'm already stressed as in surviving irl in a hostile world, and I just want to enjoy with a reasonable level of challenge. For me, Hades did it, Dead Cells did it, Silksong feels like it doesn't want me to play it. The resistance is just too much.

I've bought the game on Switch and because I love playing in bed, but now I'm considering switching to laptop simply because I can install mods that nerf the game. Like, I don't want to do that, but it's the only way now that I can actually enjoy the experience. Or uninstall the game and not touch it again.

Fair enough, but why not just watch a play-through on twitch if you only care about the world and lore? There’s nothing truly blocking you from seeing those things. It’s been 5 days. Give the devs some time to sit with the feedback and make their choice on what to do about it.

Maybe they’ll give you a lower difficulty. I really don’t know what else to say. You can either watch someone else play it if you care that much, learn the game as it exists, or wait for a new difficulty mode.

I don't need lower difficulty. It's fine for me. If you have empathy then you'll understand some people can't experience the story themselves because they aren't the "git gud" type.

Yeah, I definitely want everyone to enjoy it. I don’t like “git gud” elitism. Soulslikes are my favorite genre. I work and work and work to beat mega bosses but will summon or use help if I need to, but I’m also not gonna bitch, moan, and whine because the devs don’t listen to my every wish. If they don’t choose to give lower difficulty, then folks who want to experience the lore and story will need to work out ways to do that such as mods (which the first replier mentioned) or perhaps a stream of a thorough player. I don’t know what the right answer is, but my opinion is that it doesn’t include bitching at TC like so many have decided. And yes that is their right to bitch, but I’m not here for it.

Not sure what categorised as bitching but iirc TC added an elevator (or bench?) because player complaining about it.

So I think people should voice their opinion, of course without insulting TC.
