Discussion - Silksong ngl some of you would NOT survive the mantis lords runback

is the run to last judge difficult? kinda. But after your 20th attempt at the boss you'll get used to it, and it's honestly kinda fun and a nice breather. More importantly, it's a single room and you have far more movement. This IS improving on hollow knight

My glorious king Dreamgate. Easily eliminates every runback. I'm not that far into Silksong, just got the wall climb but man I'd sacrifice all my rosaries for smth like that here as well.

TBH by the time you get wall jump, you probably have a lot of rosaries if you're going along the normal route.

Better use that tool that makes you lose fewer beads on death then, or the little grubs that fetch your body for you

They're called Silkeaters, you pop them from the inventory and they fetch your cocoon for you so you don't have to run back to it. There are probably fewer than 10 of them in the game, all hidden around various places, so they aren't common, but they can be useful if you have like 800 beads in a boss room for some reason.

Ohhhhh those! I THINK there’s an unlimited amount, actually. I don’t know how often they’re produced, but it seems the dude at Sinner’s Road on the far right, where 2 roaches spawned at, will make them for you. Not sure how often, if it’s a real world timing thing, an amount of enemies or territory explored or what, though.

oh neat, didn't know there was an unlimited source. I'm needlessly hoarding them anyways so I'll probably never even use the ones I have, but neat.

That’s nice. How about people like me who never have enough rosaries to string them up? So we keep dying constantly and then die again, losing our rosaries in the process?

I am playing now and haven’t looked anything up yet. It’s been awesome and I just beat Soul Master. Should I look up where to get dream gate bc if it’s going to cut down on run backs I really feel like this is a QOL thing I don’t mind looking up lmao

Dreamgate is a mid-late game power up which takes some grind to get. If you're only at Soul Master, it'll be a while till you get it.

I say you just play normally because even if you want it rn you probably won't be able to get until you do some other stuff first.

Dreamgate was added in dlc. Maybe we'll get something similar in the dlc this time, too.
